You're not dumb, just new. The internet contains all kinds of ideas about D/s including online relationships (whatever that is). i was never able to have the experience of actually being in a relationship with anyone until it became live. For me online is online, just as you and i are now. Do you think you know me? Do i know you? Nope. We could talk for months and posture and pose, but i don't honestly think anyone really knows another person up close and personal until they have experienced them up close and personal. This doesn't mean we don't learn about one another if both parties are honest, sincere and have the same intentions. Unfortunately it appears that that's rarely the case. i never wasted much time online - a few chats then phone, then meeting. i never made any commitment to anyone i had never met in person. That just wasn't my thing.
