What is the point of this statement? That German Americans should have been unrightfully, unjustifiably imprisoned, too? Can you explain your "logic"? Or to everyone else: is that a futile request?

Status: offline 		Um we have fundamentalist Christians who are just as radical and extreme in the US as the Muslim Extremists in other Islamic country's. So does that mean no more Christmas Stamps?

Status: offline 		i think I'll buy the stamps,... in every race in the world you can find terrorists. its not just the muslims. and i think its nice to see the postal dudes are making stamps for their holiday when we have stamps for everyone else's holidays.

Just as a by the way, only 7% of the world's Muslim population is Arab, which includes the Middle East. Since pink brought the Middle East into it, Iraq has large numbers of Christians who are thought to be some of the first established Christians for example. That is a fact not a religious debate. I refuse to debate religion as I said before I found there to be some scary small mindS on this thread though am happy to have seen less of that as the thread has progressed. Religion is personal and while I will easily tell mine, I don't want to fight over mine and someone else's. Open discussion with open minded friends I know in real life is fine for me, but not here. We all have the right to believe what we believe and frankly feel that this thread should be shut down. I see it's purpose as little more than to inflame.

I don't care what is on my stamp as long as my mail gets to where it needs to be. It sometimes doesn't but that is the USPS fault, not the stamp. My personal rule is not to discuss religion or politics with any but a select few and I was drawn into this. I won't be again.

Debate should happen in the most unlikely places because it’s where you’ll get the answers you least expect. If you don’t want to discuss something then there is always the food game for you. Don’t try to stifle debate by throwing insults at people and pretending to take the moral high ground.

Status: offline 		Call me crazy, but I dont see what shes all in a huff about.  Its a friggin stamp.  Buy it or dont.  A gun isnt being held to anyones head saying "buy this or ill splatter your fuckin brains all over." 

Then again, what do I know?  I'm young, and still judge people based on how they truly are, as opposed to what Religion, Race, etc. they are...

I stated what is true for me and saw plenty of insults hurled at me in case you were asleep while typing them. I am truly sick of placing my own opinions, thoughts and/or ideas out there only to always have one jump on me. Seems nobody else is jumping on those who have said worse. Want to make a thread and debate/discuss religion? Fine, if you do, I'll be there.

I take MY moral ground, high or low it belongs to me. I do not need labels for my morality which also has little to do with my religious beliefs and more to do with who I am as a human being. I clearly believe in right and wrong though what is right or wrong for me will not be the same for another. Oh, just as an aside, I also do not believe in defending myself, my thoughts, opinions, ideas though am happy to discuss them and back them up when need be in debate though not to defend.

Should I see the above mentioned thread I will be there. If not, I am not returning here so say what you will. I will not be back to see it. This is quite silly over this sort of thread.

What more is there to say after my second post?  Am i to respond to every ad hominiem attack?  i choose not to do that....i thought i explained my reasoning for the OP reasonably well.
 
i don't think anything i could add would appease some P/pl's outrage; but i still don't get it.  It seems like some P/pl have more fun flaming than responding substantively to the Op.

Your personal rules appear to be very bendy to say the least.

I made a point about Muslim converts being the most radical you took offense at that so I demonstrated my sources, you had nothing to offer in reply but indirect insults. I insulted you yes but it is all laid down for everyone to see where the insults started and I treat people as they treat me. You called me small minded a number of times but failed to demonstrate your epic mindedness by insulting me.

It is nothing but a stamp either you buy the damn thing or you do not. I have to say that All muslims are not bad people therefore there is no reason that the USPS should not produce the stamp in question, also from what I have gathered it is a 7 year old stamp why the hell are we just now bitching about it?!?!? Okay so that was my two cents that I felt after reading all this deserved to be added....
