I've been contemplating getting a Brazilian wax for a while and today, being the curious sort, I pulled this up on youtube. Now, I'm not sure if I'm still contemplating this or not, but while I was cringing, I was also laughing...

Thought you might like it.

i have thought about getting one as well... looks like a lot of fun

pinksugarsub -> RE: Brazilians (11/29/2007 10:09:32 PM)

i've been waxed for awhile -- couldn't afford to keep it up -- and it is soooo pretty.  So much better than shaving.  But alas, it's expensive  too.  Didn't hurt any though.

Ma'am gets them when we are in an area that offers it. They don't hurt her much at all, however when she has me get one it hurts a lot, but I have a low pain tolerance. It feels so nice for quite a while afterward, and some peoples hair grows back thinner and softer after waxing, where shaving causes it to stiffen and get darker. I'd go for it =D Take Ibprofin 3 times a day before hand will help since there will be enough in your system to reduce swelling.

Wow, thanks.

I think I've found my calling for what I 'd like as a Career.

ClubMix -> RE: Brazilians (12/4/2007 9:21:26 AM)

Fuck. That. The things we subject ourselves to just to get rid of a little (*gasp!*) body hair!!

HumbleGrace -> RE: Brazilians (12/4/2007 4:05:47 PM)

That video is hilarious, I can totally relate, I've had Brazilian waxes done several times. Yes it hurts a bit, some spots more than others, but it's really not that bad, kind of like having a big band-aide ripped off. I probably shouldn't admit this but some aspects of it I even sort of enjoyed.

My only suggestions would be to make sure the person has some experience with it, and definitely don't do it yourself. I did it myself a couple times years ago with a home waxing kit and I managed to get the job done but not without a BIG mess.

Plus the end result of being perfectly smooth is wonderful. [;)]

whenstarscollide -> RE: Brazilians (12/5/2007 6:15:09 PM)

lol okay, that video is really funny. the faces that some of those girls make...priceless

but seriously,

i have been getting brazilians for about 2/3 yrs now, and it really doesnt hurt that much (provided that you have somebody that knows what there doing). there might be a little discomfort, but it is SO worth it. you wind up training the hair so that it all comes in at the same time. you even grow less hair over time due to the occasional ruptured hair follicle.

justnewsub -> RE: Brazilians (12/7/2007 6:25:19 PM)

i've wanted to get a brazilian but am terrified.... i did a waxing at home and it wasn't a good experience... so how do you know if you ruptured a hair follical?  is there blood?

but OMG that video was hilarious... i had to forward it on to my Dom... he'd love it!!

thanks for the laugh

ThinkingKitten -> RE: Brazilians (12/8/2007 10:32:26 AM)

Its wonderful for some, and a disaster for others. You need to find someone who's experienced who's also going to tell you the truth if your skin and hair are going to be "incompatible" with the procedure.

I could never have it done, I know. Not because I object to the idea, or because I'm a chicken (I've had bikini line waxes np). It's because I know I'd be opening myself up to the good possibility of nasty infections, ingrown hairs and major blood blistering of the basically permanent variety.

The video was cute - I wonder how many of those girls had any idea there was a camera above them and gave permission to be filmed ...... bit iffy I'd say, as that was not a public place where privacy rights don't really apply...... so watch out for concealed cameras too!!!!!!

IamJustMe2C -> RE: Brazilians (12/10/2007 5:50:49 AM)

Nothing feels better the a woman that waxes and it is so sexy.  Shaving leaves stubble and the waxing lasts so much longer.

camille65 -> RE: Brazilians (12/10/2007 11:31:00 AM)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&v=2bt4_6S7ajs This one was just cruel!! A perfect recommendation for using a professional instead of an aquaintance omg lol. (I think I'd rather use an EpiLady haha)

littlebitxxx -> RE: Brazilians (12/16/2007 8:56:11 PM)

Now I think Epilady was invented by a male sadist...lol.
I got my first Brazilian in 04 and haven't stopped.  Yeah, it hurt the first time.  Since then, I've done it at home with the pre-waxed strips...no muss no fuss no dripping wax all over, and it will do very short hair - no need to let it grow back into a bush again.  I found that the longer the hair the more it hurt.  Now the hair just doesn't grow back in worth crap.  It's baby fine and very sparse.  I can let it grow for about 3 weeks to get enough 'fuzz' to wax or keep it up with plucking when I see something starting to grow.  Definitely smoother, no bumps, no irritation, no rash...and no hair![:D]

Kalista07 -> RE: Brazilians (12/16/2007 10:51:11 PM)

Okay i'll be the first to admit that i'm a big 'ol Wusss......However, having said that this is something i've always been interested in....However i do have a few questions...
1.  am i the only one who has some degree of fear showing my most private parts to a complete stranger???

2. i have my eyebrows waxed frequently and anytime they miss a hair and take the damned stip and try to get more off of it with that i want to kill them...THEN, when they get out the tweezers, i begin contemplating their death by being hacked into several tiny pieces....

Is it just me??
Kali

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Brazilians (12/17/2007 11:41:30 AM)

the lady I go to , to get my eyebrow's waxed said that shaving makes it thicker is a myth,and it does not infact make it hairer when it grows back.

Yes,  and yes , you are. ok completely sarcastic answer, sorry didn't want to resist lol.

Honestly, there's plenty of people in the world not crazy about having strangers mucking about their private places.

personally I am more concerned that they do not seem to be changing the hygenic paper liner every one has been laying on in between customers, that's not very hygenic nor cleanly.

LadyLynx -> RE: Brazilians (12/18/2007 8:09:56 AM)

I would love to get one, as I detest shaving! However waaaay out of my price range. One time I did those wax strips, Oh gods, now that was dumb of me.  It turned out I was 2 much of a wimp to yank the strip off, it took forever for me to pull it off.  Then my bush was all sticky and ewww! When I was throwing the stuff out later, I noticed included was a cream that helps in getting the strip off better. *thunk* that was my head hitting the wall.

fairdom23 -> RE: Brazilians (12/18/2007 5:12:54 PM)

i have done it to my self numerous times, and to others as well. the first few times you do it your self, it can be a little messy(nothing like that video, those idiots did not read the directions. you are suposed to do strips at a time, not the entire area).
i would NOT get the microwave type DIY kit, get a gigi heater and brazilian wax kit, that keeps the wax at a liquid temperature, and allows you more time to work. also has mgh better quality wax.
