This is a bit of an off the wall and odd ball topic lol but what do some of you do when its your submissive's or slaves birthday? Do you recognize it? Celebrate it? Just curious, how others approach something that is seemingly normal and routine, but might be handled differently in our lifestyle.

Personally I think overstate just how much "we" are compared to other people. All of the long lasting (5+) owner-slave couples or household I've ever known are pretty mundane most of the time and they value all of this passages of life. I ask my slave how he prefers to celebrate. Some years it just wants the family, other years he wants a party. We do make a point of setting aside several hours around his birthday to do a mummification scene just for his birthday and he gets a more than "normal" intense spanking. Of course he also gets that spanking in celebration of my birthday too!

My current sub hasn't celebrated a birthday with Me yet. It's in May. Most likely, it's going to involved either a trip to the club (Atlanta) or celebrating with lifestyle friends here in town. It's almost absolutely going to involve a good beating, which is what he'll mostly want anyway. I can also say he'll receive something from the heart. Mushy, but true.

My submissive just had his birthday. On the night of his actual birthday we had a family party and ice cream cake, that night he got spankings. A few days later we were at a local dungeon for a party and I put him some great bondage...and taped a sign to him that said "It's My Birthday, Free Spankings" I set up a table with paddles, whips and a few other fun devices and about 10 or so people lined up. He loved it..it was so fun. All of the people were familar to me and it was a blast. We went toy shopping, and Holly and rob went to the horserace track for his birthday (unfortunately, I had to work that night sigh) If things work out with the boy in Chicago ... we'll be celebrating his birthday in a similar fashion, I'm sure (meaning, we'll do something that he enjoys) - it's in June, so we have plenty of time to plot lol

It was my boys birthday a week or so ago and I took him to Leeds a because it held a special meaning and b it sounded bdsmy lol . Being as we have family members around, there's always a cake. Usually we go out to dinner ourselves and cut the cake after we get home. He doesn't like to go to someplace we've been before so I get to pick a restaurant I've heard great things about but wasn't willing to drive to and from. If he does it again for my birthday, I may pick a place 45 minutes away with deer infested roads. Supposed to be the best place around but the trip to and from would ruin the evening for me. Plus we either eat earlier than I like, or get home later than I want. If only I had a June birthday instead of midwinter one.

If apart, recognize it and get them a little something if appropriate. If together, have a little birthday to-do or go out somewhere they're interested in.

We go out for Sushi since thats his favorite and he gets dessert. Then he is allowed to "dress" for our play time and I let him pick what he would like to happen for the night. Last weekend was his big 40, so I threw him a party at our favorite Italian restaurant with about 35 guests and had his favorite cake, lemon tart, specially made for him. My slave is my fiance. He is double special to me. We celebrate the way he and I want to usually by taking a trip to the beach for a few days.
