laughs I happen to agree with that one! I can't live with other women under one roof. I have done it before, i tried, i smiled alot, there were very few good times, i walked on eggshells through all of it, i opened myself up to her(THAT! will never happen again)....it turned out bad. I would end up in jail this time and being the first rule of the house is: i am not allowed to go to jail - think that pretty much sums that up. As far as another Dominant and living under one roof. LOLOL!!! i can see the look on Thorns' face as i type this. Nowww...as far as a comedy routine or as it's been stated...reality show type thing. sure! i'd watch it at least once.....and laugh. I don't think I would care for that as a reality show. I think it would give poly even more bad press. In general we need more talk shows that talk postively about poly relationships.

...on a side note of that. Just because they would all be living together does not necessarily make them Poly either. Just some more thoughts.... ~smilezz~

This is exactly what I want. The reality of it is, even if I'm the Master, the likelihood of 5 people being able to get along while living under one roof is low. At most, I see three getting along. But, five might, given that the house is big enough. Preferably, everyone has a bit of space that is their own. Probably what would work best for me is that I live in my house and they all live in their house, with both houses on the same property. Master Fire

comunal living can have its advantages as well as disadvantages. it can be very cost effective, and there is always someone to discuss issues that may arise. there would be the concern of more than one master running a household. if the people involved are dedicated to lifestyle i am sure it could work out,boarding house or military protocols perhaps. if you have part timers and flakes, you should have a doggy door or revolving door. the 3 of us seem to get along just fine here. the problem is finding the right people for this situation.

Too much noise, not enough privacy. I think you would have to have all extroverts for this to work. Us loner types would go crazy from the constant barrage of stimulation.

How can this be a question? Slavery as a publicly accepted institution existed at least from the Neolithic through the Emancipation Proclamation. Actually of course JFK abolished slavery only in 1968 (at least in Saudi Arabia). During that very long period every sort of living arrangement was practiced. Also remember that in early Rome for example the pater familias had the right to beat, torture or kill any of his progeny or his wife. Slaves were crucified in the back yard. In early modern Europe apprentices typically slept under their workbenches and were whipped by their masters as they so chose. Modern BDSM "slavery" is quite tepid compared to even marriage in the past. The Book of Exodus advises that one shouldn't beat one's slave to death if they are Jewish - for gentile slaves that's OK. Even if you beat your Jewish slave to death it would not have beem illegal. It was more like a tribal faux pas. The Old Testament doesn't condemn wife beating nor does the Koran. Traditional or classical marriage was at least as severe as modern BDSM "slavery". So the answer is - any conceivable living arrangement can work - at least for some people and it has already been tried. America is the great breeding ground for domestic social experiments. Europeans who had religious utopian ideas flocked to the American West. See - the Mormons, the Branch Davidians - both of these religious groups had strong ideas about sex and authority. Here in the SF Bay Area in there has been more than one group who practiced group sex, female subjugation, flogging, and a dominance heirarchy. Some of these went off into the woods to live in hippy communes others followed Jim Jones. None of these were exactly like what is being discussed here - most were more strange and more extreme. There are periodic reports of psychopaths who kidnap women and lock them in their underground dungeons to serve as sex slaves. Typically these women are killed. I expect that this kind of behavior is also ancient. In contrast to the psychopaths and the religious gurus the five person D/s arrangement described here sounds completely wholesome and normal. If this family were to be depicted on TV as has been suggested above, they should look for a new Donna Reed and a new Ward Cleaver.

It could work, but we: Must be Protocoligorically correct good form must never suffer from neglect THE rules and regulations we respect must be treated circumspect else the household will be wrecked we’ve a system to protect checked and double checked and Protocoligorically correct.
