No media bias here

Well, it is about time someone reported the facts.  It ain't like all of rush limbaughs  hard hitting mainstream journalism about phony soldiers and whatnot shouldn't be added to, and built upon. You gotta love the fair reporting that you see out there, no matter how briefly, I wish more would join in and stop the yellow journalism and tell it like it is.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I thought the conservative media had a death grip on america.

Any time, Ron.

And here people were so upset when my Daddy called him "Monkey Boy" and it turns out he was right all along... the media has broke the story... we indeed have a monkeyboy for a president[:D]

"The Monkey in the middle"...omg she is so freaking right on

Edited to add, I am going to make sure my Daddy sees this thread... he is going to love it!

Sanity -> RE: MSNBC Reporter Calls The President A Monkey (11/30/2007 5:54:55 PM)

This reminds me of the "Insanity of Bush hatred" thread.

The Left is so full of hate that they feel completely justified in dehumanizing their political opposition...

Even rejoicing in it.

Sanity, I consider Myself a liberal, and I'm registered Green. I don't feel hateful. Just critical.

GM

Sanity i fully agree with you, but that does work both ways. As well as in every country and whatever political persuasion.

Right.  And concentration camp guards were simply good Aryans, just doing their job.  I doubt the Westboro Baptists feel hateful either.  Just critical.

I am not a political activist anymore, nor do I represent a political ideology... so save it for your young republican conventions

The fuck???? How you managed to compare not only a Jewish girl, but a woman married to a Marine (whose had a billion close calls) to Aryan guards and Westboro Baptists befuddles Me.

Yes.  He can see how far ahead he was in the decline of civilized discourse.

This bit of video is a disgusting display.  I suspect I'm going to link to it from now on, whenever somebody wants to poke at Fox News.

dcnovice -> RE: MSNBC Reporter Calls The President A Monkey (11/30/2007 6:10:59 PM)

I'm not gonna defend the indefensible: The reporter who made the "monkey" comment was totally out of line.

That said, it bears noting that the other reporters immediately pounced on her statement. They're as much as a part of "the media" as she is.

She was speaking about the appeal of the men in the shot, I took her comment to be about how unappealing he is to her as a woman, and as a fellow woman I have to agree that compared with the other guy Bush looks like a monkey

dcnovice -> RE: MSNBC Reporter Calls The President A Monkey (11/30/2007 6:15:57 PM)

</hijack>

And another thing:

That sort of banal chatter from reporters is a key reason why I almost never watch TV news. I don't want to know what she thinks of Sarkosy or Bush or the man in the moon. I want to know what happened. Just the facts, ma'am.

Owner59 -> RE: MSNBC Reporter Calls The President A Monkey (11/30/2007 6:16:07 PM)

She meant to say monkey in the middle. It was a slip of the tongue.

The rightists are a little defensive,b/c they have a failure to defend.

How come there wasn`t a squeek about the Plame affair in the media?

Imagine if Al Gore had blown the cover of a CIA agent and an entire CIA intelligence gathering operation?

There would have nothing but "Al the traitor",24/7,week after week(remember what the "liberal media" did w/ Clinton?),forever.

That`s a sign that the media is way to the right.

This little flub means nothing, much less a media bias.Don`t the paranoid have better things to do with their leisure time?

Paaa-leeze....

I don't see even the faintest news value in her take on the manly appeal of Sarkosy, Bush, or anyone else.

Sanity -> RE: MSNBC Reporter Calls The President A Monkey (11/30/2007 6:17:50 PM)

Critical is fine, it's essential. But sinking to the level of dehumanizing people is, well, it's what the Nazis did, it's how they rationalized what they did. And I don't say that lightly, and I don't mean to compare Liberals to Nazis by any means. There's a world of difference, but still - to begin dehumanizing those with whom you disagree isn't a sign of the greatest mental health.

What I found the most humorous about this is that the woman was talking about having a crush on the one man, and how she did not want him confused with the "Monkey in the middle".. she has a right to be attracted or unattracted to whomever she likes
