we're currently being treated to "Rad Girls", an MTV programme in which three young women embark on an attempt to match and exceed the foolery of Jackass.

last night, the three of them travelled in the back of a van, undertaking a contest to drink a gallon of water and then see who could pee the most into a large bucket. Halfway through, one of them tipped her bucket over, to much hilarity, then another vomited into her bucket. By the end they were defecating in their buckets.

the whole thing made me think "what happened to the idea of being a lady?" and "maybe Osama has a point about our culture?"

but what do you think?

E

LOL, I have never seen anything like a female Jack Ass.  I just may have to check that out.  I'm not sure I would enjoy it, but it's worth a look.

Reminds me of all those people drinking themselves to death on a Friday night in UK towns up and down the country. I heard many are getting alcohol related diseases you'd usually find in people a lot older. Feels sad we have neglected an entire generation like this but that's life.
I voted thanks for the warning.

This is just one more reminder of why I do NOT watch television.

Hmmmm, something tells me that kind of program won't interest me.  I didn't like Jackass, so this won't do anything for me, either.  Don't get me wrong, I love good comedy, but I'm the type that believes a lady should act like a lady...except if she acts like a tramp.  LOL  Nevertheless, even as a tramp, she's still a lady, not a jackass.

That sounds absolutely disgusting I am oh so happy and thankful for the warning, I certainly would not enjoy running into something like this on television..... I have four shows I watch weekly and beyond that I turn the television on to watch CNN on occasion..... Wow I must agree with Aylee this is yet another reason I do not watch television.....

what surprised me was that what I'd seen apart from that bit (its on late, when South Park finishes) seemed fairly tame, and aimed at pleasing the lads - the whole basis of the show seemed to be to play up for the boys by playing like the boys, you know? The intended audience I'd have said, would be lads aged 16-30.

now, even the most sheltered young man realises I would have thought that women use the loo, occasionally vomit, fart and belch etc. what amazed me was the apparent pride in such pursuits, traditionally viewed as the preserve of the male, next to the notion of providing semi-erotic entertainment for the lads.

maybe I'm just getting old, but if my son brought home a young woman who behaved like that, I'd have to wonder what on earth he might see in her?
