at the beginning of the month when i was supposed to start my next packet of pills (microgynon 30) i didnt have any so started it 5 days late, during that time my Master and i used extra protection and had no problems, now i havnt come on my period and was wondering if this was due to me starting my pills late?

I'm no expert (or doctor), but you should be getting a hormonally induced period based on the pill's cycle.  Since your pill doesn't have a placebo, you should get your period 2-3 days after taking the last pill in the pack.  If it has been more than 3 days since you took the last pill there are two options - your body got confused with the 5 day delay and will get back on track next month, or you're pregnant.  I would suggest asking your doctor about it.

i have been on the pill for all most 3 years now and have never missed more then on at a time so im guessing my body has got confused but i will get checked out anyway, thanks

If you started the pill 5 days late, the sequence of events which leads to an egg developing and being released was already well on the way. If you used condoms for not only those 5 days, but each day until now, then there is probably little risk of pregnancy, and your period will probably be late because of the late start of the pills. However, if you only used other protection for the 5 days until you started the pills again, then stopped the other method when you restarted the pills, then you were not protected against pregnancy, and I would advise a pregnancy test. Hopefully it will be negative, but always remember, when starting the pills late, you are advised (by most sources) to use backup protection for that entire pill cycle.

i was only with my Master those 5 days (i live away from him) so there was no need for other methods after that, but i have come on now, so worry over, when i counted the day  btween when i came on and when i finished the pack it did match up with before, so i managed to miss count somewhere :P
