so if you cant give what you get, the other option is to roll over and take it, I been doing that, didn't work either, and at least the truely "jaded" have been forced to come to light.

Have a look at the names at the top of this page and you'll see the list of onlookers gathering at a rate of knots..........it's like watching a wounded gazelle staggering 'round the plains........

Sadly, I think it'll be Mod 11 who enjoys the biggest part of this feast, with no small portion of my hindquarters as part of the meal.

So, here's something less trivial and more Frank.

simple,

clearly, that chip on your shoulder is large enough to balance a refugee camp on.  Whatever has you pissy is between you, your god, and your dog.  When you dump honey all over yourself and stand in the sun, you really don't have much room to bitch at the flies.

It takes a supreme effort to stand up and walk away.  When you stop presenting your ass as a target, you'll find it hit far less often.

Are you edible? Do you spend much time in England?

Ok seriously now. If typed words from people you don't even know can hurt your feelings, there might be other issues at work here.

Do you recall the first time you visited this site or any new site ?

Certainly.

quote:

Do you recall how hard it was to figure out just what you were doing?

For me, it wasn't hard to figure out.

quote:

What was allowed, what would piss others off.

As with any new site, I read the site guidelines as my first order of business. As to what will piss others off, as Fire would say.. that's their stuff, not my stuff.

quote:

Well of course not....... How could you .

You can read the guidelines. They are quite informative.

quote:

I have made several attempts at posting in the forums , several mths back and stopped because of the nit picking shit, tried again just this past week, and what a surprise BAM, the hateful shit once again ,and although you might not consider your post being a smart ass comment, did you ever stop to think how someone else might take it?

I'm, generally speaking, fairly straight-forward and answer the questions which are actually posed rather than try to interpret something different. If someone reads something into my answer, that's, again, their stuff. Ask a question, get an answer .. that's the way I do things.

quote:

I normally do not speak out against the "pack" every site has them .... just t his  once I thought well fuck it ......

Bit of a shame that you decided to lower your standards.

quote:

I am gonna say it regardless, oh and  yall will be glad to know the thread in question never reached the 20 page flame thrower that you thought it would ......

I don't know the 'thread in question', but it seems to me if it did not go to a 20 page flame thrower, that would be a good thing not a bad thing.

quote:

HAVE A NICE DAY

Generally speaking, when you go all caps, that's shouting in the v/t world. As such, it's hard to take the well wishes seriously.

I have posted quite frequently here (and other sites) and from my very first post, I have never, once, encountered any sort of 'pack' mentality in regard to a topic to which I've responded or a topic which I began. On occasion, there are posters who respond without personal value to me. I use my block button and they disappear from my universe and I go on quite content and happy, getting educated and entertained and, perhaps on occasion, doing some entertaining and education myself. Perhaps you might want to rethink your posting style if it's something which you come up against on a continual basis. After all, what do all the sites have in common other than you? Your experience here (or anywhere) will be of it what you make of it. Mine has been, mostly, wonderful. If you wish it, yours can be as well.

Just something to think about.

Celeste

A little-known fact about the knoon:  it was originally the brain child of a few Amish turned Satanists...

Jeffff I think you may be a little out of touch here.
Do you really believe that it is somehow abnormal/weak/sick to be hurt or offended by the words of a stranger? Words can be powerful no matter how removed the source.
Every drama, music, art, literary or restaurant critic knows this, as does anyone who's ever been criticized in public.

The difference  is that critics criticize  "work" not, as is often the case here< speculation. Anyone who has spent anytime here has to be aware that while there is indeed great kindness here, a spade will be called a spade faster than any other board I have seen.Personally I believe that there are stupid questions. those questions ask for a smart ass response

If you are prone to putting your foot in it, or if you do not express yourself as clearly as you intended, you may indeed be flamed for something you intended innocently. It's happened to me. Did it bother me to be flamed? Frankly, yes it did. Everyone has to like me, it's a rule. But *sigh* since that's not the world we live in, one either has to attempt to rephrase and express what was meant, or not. Even if you say exactly what you mean, some people won't like it, and while it's a rule that everyone has to like me, there are a lot of rulebreakers out there, and I'm not the one who gets to spank them.

(Well, that was rambling. But you know what? I'm not gonna rephrase it.)
