Does anyone know of local events that are going on here in Michigan? I'm new to the whole liefstyle but I figure the best way to meet people is to attend local events and I was wondering if, and where their might be some going on in Michigan that are noobie friendly so to speak.

youngpupforBCms, here is a listing of fairly active groups in Michigan. Most of them have weekly if not monthly meetings. I see that you are from Big Rapids, perhaps you should then look into the groups that are on the western side of the state like the Grand Rapids Group, WestMichiganRope and GRALE. Unfortunately though, you may have a bit of a problem getting to some of the play parties or venues as they are held either in night clubs or require you to be of at least 21 years of age. There isn't a TNG group in west Michigan that I am aware of, but if I do run across one then I will pass it on to you.

There's a regular munch group in Grand Rapids, though having grown up there myself, I'll just say that you're pretty much in the third circle of BDSM Hell.

You also have a regional event called GLLA (Great Lakes Leather Alliance) in August in Indianapolis.

Where in MI are you? I know Detroit has three regular groups and parties. I have yet to attend any...but have heard good things...especially about "Detroit Space".

Im in the NorthWestern portion of the lower penisula, Big Rapids to be exact, traveling is possible, but I've never been in the detroit area, so I'm likely to get lost without a guide really, as I tend to gawk to much at new sights, first time in chicago I'm sure was terrifying for my passengers. Its not that I'm a bad driver though, I just came from rural small town countryside so the "city" is just one of those big OoOoOoOoOoOo things for me sometimes. Anyways, back on track here, if theirs events that are noobie friendly basically I'd like to make it to them regardless of where their at in the state, is my intentions.
