Hey everyone,

So heres the question, I have a PES unit, almost all of the attachments for it as well, But the question I have, Is it safe to use with a piercing as a single lead contact?

This would be a hood piercing, I just was curious if its applicable, or could it have negative or destructive results.

Thanks

Anything used the wrong way can be destructive. A piercing is going to act as a super conductor to cold, heat and everything else.  with a tongue piercing you can actually get frost bite from eating ice cream if your not carefull. I personally would not use any piercings as a lead for any electrical device for that reason. Place the proper pad nect to the area that has been pierced and you will get the same desired result. You are not looking to burn her hood are you? It could happen in the blink of an eye and your unit does not have to be turned up high. Using piercings for anchors to weights is a different story.

Never use a piercing as an electrode. The smaller the contact area the more intense the sensation will be. A piercing with a ring in it will likely result in a burn. Electrical burns take a long time to heal. Remember you also need two electrodes for the PES unit to work. For more info go to SmartStim.com

You might check the website from the Violet Wand Guild... We recently attended a workshop given by Joseph from the Guild.  He was extremely knowledgeable, and full of fabulous ways to incorporate electricity into nearly every form of bdsm play.  I realize the PES unit is not a violet wand, but the Violet Wand may be a way you can take advantage of metal piercings safely.  I emphasize MAY because I am NOT an expert.
