It's impossible to diagnose over the internet. You should make an appointment with your gyno. Bleeding during intercourse can be due to any number of things, from an STD to blood vessal abnormalities to an infection of the cervix.

I've never heard of someone hemorrhaging due to having sex while menstruating. Menstruation is basically the shedding of the bloody lining of the uterus following ovulation. It's going to come out anyway; having him stick his penis in your vagina during that time isn't going to speed the process up and make you bleed to death, because you're not actually losing real blood volume. In fact, sex during menstruation can be positive in that orgasms (experienced by the woman ) can ease the cramps that many suffer from during that time of the month.

So...yeah, I wouldn't worry about the hemorrhaging thing but I would make an appointment to be checked out by your gyno for the bleeding during/after intercourse.

sweetheart....don't take this the wrong way but any bleeding vaginally or anally should be checked out by a Dr. just to be on the safe side....could be anything....even just a little bit of tearing if your dom is big or a little rough.....as for sex during menstruation, no you do not hemorrhage during sex......in fact, having sex during your period is actually good for us because it lessons cramps and gets the blood flowing a little more so that it can be over quicker - lol

I have been known to bleed when I get a small tear from my Masters fingernail. Also if he goes really deep with his fingers. But it would be wise to have it checked out by a doctor. It could just be that you are a bleeder, but better to safe than sorry.

Hemmoraging is no more or less likely to occur during your period than not during your period.

Your body during your period is exactly the same as it is not during your period EXCEPT in that the uterine lining is sloughing off of the uterine wall and seeping through the cervix. There is no actual "bleeding" occuring, no tissues are being damaged, you can even still get pregnant (though unlikely). It's just messier.

Obviously it's possible, since you do.

A person should not experience bleeding everytime they have intercourse. This might be a problem with not enough lubrication, this might be a reaction to the condoms, this might be a problem with your cervix being damaged, it might be spotting- but you should get yourself checked out.

I have never had any problems with having sex during my period. It is a bit more messy of course, but it is nothing wrong. You should try it and see if it is confortable for you and your partner.
PS: I would also advice you to check in with your gyno about bleeding during intercourse when you are not on your period.
Best of luck.

That's the one good thing about menopause too.

Being on your period will not make it more likely.

Please go to your doctor. It takes a moment to have a smear and check. A few years back, I had the same problem and all I had to have done was have my cervix cauterized. It was painless and done in an hour. It could be something as little as that - it might be a tear or broken blood vessel - but its better to be safe as it could be anything.

Please- go get it checked - and request your Dom talk to a doctor to become informed.

Peace and Love

Everybody's advice to go to the doctor should be heeded for sure! As far as trying to prevent mess during sex during menstruation, I've found a diaphragm comes in quite handy. Depending upon the roughness of penetration and the heaviness of the flow, yeah, it's going to leak some, but at least it doesn't look like someone's been murdered!

Taking it out can be a bit gross though... I always do that in the shower!

i like having sex when i'm on my period because it does actually cause the flow to get a bit heavier and in doing so reduces the length of time i'm on my period. lucky for me i only have a period about once a year, the downside is that it lasts a long time sometimes.

If you really don't want your period that much, or it is screwing with your lifestyle, talk to your ob/gyn. There are some ways to deal with this. If you don't want to get pregnant the two easiest are a progesterone impregnated IUD (Progestasert®) with which 90+% of women stop bleeding altogether or Seasonale (birth control pill where you only menstruate 4 times a year... once a season.. get it...Seasonale?)

I am almost 47 and I started having period problems a couple of years ago (skipping cycles, flooding and cramping/dizziness). I also had the OP's problem of slight bleeding after intercourse. That turned out to be an inflammation of the cervix which was easily cured with a course of antibiotics.

I'm now back on the birth control pill and though it's not needed for contraception (I had my tubes tied in 1999) it's wonderful to be able to know exactly when my period is due and that I won't be bleeding all over the place. I could never be far from a bathroom because even with a supersize tampon and a maternity pad backup I would have to change every couple of hours I can also keep taking the active pills if I want to skip having a period for any reason. I don't do it often because Master would rather me have a period than make myself ill by overdosing on hormones - His former wife was notorious for continuous pill taking and ended up very ill as a consequence.

I have had sex during my period - very messy and the flow did get heavier afterwards for a while, but no "haemorrhage". I don't like doing it much though, probably due to my upbringing and an ex husband who made me feel "unclean" when I was menstruating. Luckily Master doesn't mind one way or the other and I serve Him with blowjobs while I'm "on the rag" (His words! )

Fucking/sex during menstruation should not/does not cause bleeding among healthy women.

I guess if you do bleed every time you fuck, it's possible, but it definitely is NOT NORMAL/HEALTHY. I would suggest you make an appointment get examined and talk with your doctor about this as has already been suggested. M

I have never caused a hemorage problem with anyone during sex with a lady on her period. I have also never seen a case or had a patient with such a situation. Sex for women on there period varius from person to person as for some, only certain positions feel good and most like the rythem to be slow rather than the BAM BAM BAM! thrusting.

Under normal circumstances, having sex during your monthy cycle should be ok. Midol helps with most women to keep any cramping or bloating from interfering as well as dulling any extra sensitive areas of your vaginal entry. However, it wouldn't hurt you to ask this question to a gynocologist or MD on your next check up to know what's exactly best for your body haveing your examination and past medical history help with the dicission.

Just a note that Midol is not a good choice for everyone. The caffeine in one regular pill is 32.4 mgs, while that goes up to 60 mgs a pill in extra strength. Considering that a typical dose is two pills, that's about the equivalent of a cup of black tea, weak coffee, or various sodas for regular and slightly more than the average 2 oz serving of espresso or a can and a half of Red Bull for extra strength. (All data on caffeine taken from http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/caffeine/caffeine_info1.shtml )

In short, it can make a person's heart beat too fast, causing chest pain and discomfort. I'm speaking from experience - nearly ended up in the ER one night because of it. Excedrin and Excedrin Migraine will do the same thing to me.

On your other post on anal sex, where everyone questioned your dom's responsibility, I figured it was that neither of you had done it and it was just a simple error. This post definately has changed my thinking.

As everyone has said, and you now know from your doctor, bleeding everytime you have intercourse should not occur. I am happy to hear that it is nothing serious.

HOWEVER, in this day and age, any man who is legally old enough to have sex (I read somewhere your dom is THIRTY?), but thinks that sex during menstruation could cause you to hemmorage? I really don't care about any backlash from my statements, but a man that uneducated will not only be a poor dom for anyone, that ignorance has the potential to put you in some serious danger down the road while this idiot experiments blindly with your body.
