as far as it being dangerous or not. Who knows. i know i was thinking the whole time. All be it, not my usual thinking.. and all be it i was abit honest with this guy. And yeah, i archive ALL my messages, so i've the chat log with Yahoo's time and date stamp on them. Is it bad? Who knows? all i know is my intution kicked and said "this is bad very very bad" Yet i i couldnt drag myself back "up" and that DARN circle kept calling me. i like the circle. Yet, i wasnt gonna listen to this man. i knew WHAT he was saying and WHAT he wanted. But i WASNT going to give it to him. No MATTER what he said.

and yeah when he tried playing the card that everything was okay (like i said i was abit honest) and Master was ACTUALLY here with me.. i did turn to look where Master usually is.

RiotGirl -> RE: hypnosis (8/25/2005 1:35:01 PM)

Oooooooooooo everyone, stare at the circle! It makes things moooooove! Seriously with out a doubt. You stare at it, give it 5 minutes, oh heck, 2 minutes and look at the pictures and they literally MOVE, heck look at your desktop and it literally moves.

Aye, i tried trancing myself out LATER yesterday as it was all very interesting and the first time i tranced out i got to be IN the scenes in my head. But i know i wasnt sleeping, and why would i be sleeping anyways? i just read the chat log. Funny, i do remember stretching before i tranced out and i do remember him saying "lift your arms" which he got a no, but i do remember lifting and stretching before i closed my eyes. i feel spacey now LOLOLOLOL. This is Crazy. this is all crazy.

Good golly i'm like just dying to hear what ppl have to say about this. cos i am sooooooooooo curious. And i'm not leaving this thread until SOMEBODY says SOMETHING. LOL

Don't know about the hypnosis part, but that's a pretty popular optical illusion. We discussed optical illusions in my Color Theory class and I found this site that has lots of them, along with explanations for why we 'see' them the way we do.

Actually hypnosis is one of the lowest risk kinks a person can get into. Do a search for threads on hypnosis, you will find a few.

that is simply not true... hypnosis, as an open door into the mind has a HUGE potential for risk... saying hyponosis is low risk is like saying that opening up the chest cavity is perfectly safe(which it pretty much is, IF youve been trained and know what your doing)

I disagree strongly with you :)

A person cannot be forced to do things in hypnosis any more than they can be forced to do things when they are fully conscious. The mind WILL protect itself the same way a person cannot suffocate themselves by putting their head into a bathtub full of water- the body WILL force itself up. The mind WILL wake itself up to prevent harm being done if it comes against something that makes it uncomfortable or bad.

It's a very misunderstood form of play, due to a lot of bad and half information.

Even more so than manipulating a sub into not feeling they can say no- in hypnosis you HAVE to want it in order for it to occur, it's simply impossible to hypnotize someone if they choose not to be, and even then they can't damage your mind any more than a nightmare can.

true a person cannot KNOWINGLY do something they truely dont want to do while under hypnosis, however, being that the hypnotic state is HIGHLY suggestive, you can guide someone AROUND something they dont want to do by fooling the subconscious mind(its really not that hard to do)

in addition, people are prone to hypnosis at different levels... my husband for example cannot be hypnotized, i on the other hand am HIGHLY attuned to it, the slightest attempt rendering me wide open...

Hypnosis REQUIRES the active opening of the person towards it. If a person refuses, it simply won't happen. In a rapist situation, a woman can fight and still be overpowered. This is simply not possible when it comes to hypnosis.

And this has nothing to do with using drugs- that's a completely different topic.

ummm i can PERSONALLY vouch that this is NOT true... i have been hypnotized by simply watching another having it done(no i DIDNT want to be hypnotized, nor did i volunteer) SOME people are simply very suggestable... usually has to do with some sort of mental problems or emotional issues, but guess what, theres ALOT of people in this lifestyle who are recovering alcoholics/drug addicts/sex addicts or abuse victims... to say that it CANT happen is untrue and irresponsible... to say you have never seen it would be fine... as for the rape analogy, its more like date rape drugs than plain rape...

Besides what people can be lead to do, hypnosis has a powerful 'releasing' effect on suppressed emotion and memory. Unless you're qualified to deal with such releases, and willing to take the responsibility of doing so, you shouldn't meddle with hypnosis.

thank you

Naturally there were case notes regarding prisoners who were just difficult to place under hypnosis even with the use of drugs. Interestingly, I’ve (somewhere in my books) an interesting copy of techniques used by corporate Japan to induce people into looking favourably at a variety of merchandise or business deals. Now for the word “Induce” substitute: “Hypnotic Techniques”. (No I don’t read Japanese or Russian, I have translations.)

yes people who are difficult or impossible to place under hypnosis are often add or adhd, or just plain wired different... the mind moves so fast from subject to subject or object to object that they cant focus on anything long enough to BE hypnotised without anything short of drugs, and even then its difficult

With my last sub we used an injection that made her more prone to suggestion. It put her into sort of a "sleepy" state where she'd do what asked. It excited her quite a bit, and me as well. I know this is not *hypnosis*, but it's along the same lines.

ModeratorEleven -> RE: hypnosis (8/27/2005 2:53:12 PM)

An injection of what?

That is exactly what I'd like to find out and if he is trained and authorised to give such injections.....

quietkitten -> RE: hypnosis (8/27/2005 4:41:42 PM)

Yes, I am also curious as to what was in this injection, and where you got it from. Sounds more than slightly dangerous to me.

MRMojo -> RE: hypnosis (8/27/2005 6:18:07 PM)

Nevermind, it was just a fantasy, a joke.

ModeratorEleven -> RE: hypnosis (8/27/2005 6:42:02 PM)

Of course it was.

So umm... what did happen, what in the worlds name was that about? I felt floaty and spacey for hours, took a while to come back to mother earth and really didnt kick in (being back on earth) till i took a nap a couple of hours later. As WIERD as this will sound the IM box well it stopped looking "real" but i knew some part of my mind, this was some strange dude.

I would say that it sounds like you were in a trance but with the training and conditioning that you had from your master kept you from going deeper. Hypnosis is very real and very effective. And though I don't think most can be 'forced' into hypnosis but you can be guided into hypnosis without your knowledge. Hypnosis is one of those things that can be a truly wonderful thing if it is done correct and right. But you have to trust the hypnosist and know their experience. Things can happen and you do have to know how to handle them. If the hypnotist does not know what to do it could have tramatic results for the subject. So know your hypnosist, know their experience, and always talk about what is going to happen before hand.
I have been a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist for a long while now and I can tell you that when done right it can be one of the best things you can experience

KnightRaven -> RE: hypnosis (9/1/2005 1:45:32 PM)

The dangers of hypnosis stem more from the trained than the untrained. A beginners mistake while initially disastrous will be automaticaly compensated by the hypnotee's mind, that's where the saying that you can't make them do something that they really don't want to do. An experienced practitioner can get around that little quirk and can truly brainwash someone, but here's the key to that, it can't be done in one sitting. Changing the way someone's psyche works at its more basic level takes time and many many hypnotic sessions. If you want to engage in hypnosis, do so. Be very sure that you can trust the person hypnotising you and their intentions. Let me repeat, a well meaning amatuer is far less dangerous than a professional with a shady agenda.
