It's only a new thought, so I haven't explored the ins and outs of this line of thinking ... but when I look back on the minor and major mind fucks I've done or being party to in scene setting ... the submissive party displayed the behaviours described above. ..
A good mind fuck is like being taken to the edge of a cliff ...and not been thrown off ... or if you are ...there is a net to catch your fall ... This is a great. Never thought of it thru the full process, huh! [sm=applause.gif]
I love a good mindfuck. LOVE. Sometimes they aren't as successful as others, because you have to believe in order for it to be truely mind-blowing. Someone already touched on how they are different to different people - not unlike the blanket statement of "I like spankings!" Who doesn't? but spankings mean a variety of things to everyone. One person's ideal of spankings is OTK, another's is with a paddle until they blister, another's is with a cane until they bleed. Huge difference based on the common theme.
My Husband uses mindfucks with me not only for his own amusement but to expand boundaries, our play but also to guide me in areas that he's pretty sure I'll be able to accept - but I can't initially. What exactly is going on doesn't matter, it's the intent behind it and the thought process of the fuckee - the belief that it will happen. So for us many of the more extreme variations wouldn't work because I couldn't believe. I know what he is & isn't capable of doing to me, so the threat of "I'm gonna tie you up and cut you" wouldn't work - I KNOW he would never do this, ever. The threat of "I'm gonna hold you and let someone else take you" would work, he would do this.
He doesn't get into degradation or tearing down either. And no crawling on the floor a few feet in Home Depot to pay for a big fern doesn't apply [:D] If you "degrade" yourself for something it's grappling with your own pride.
