And besides shipping times, how much faster is postal first class, than ground shipping at 1-7 days?

What did the post office tell you? I would imagine it would depend where you are shipping.

all the rates and delivery times etc are listed on the postal service's official site.

I was looking online,they didn't say the shipping dates for priority, but since it was only a few bucks more I went with priority:)

Usually with priority, you get tracking numbers and ability to trace the package...not sure if its insured, but express in canada includes insurance up to 100$.
Thats been my experience with USPS alth o I mainly deal with canada post for sending

In my experience (being someone who uses the post office daily), the difference is that with priority they throw in a few drop kicks. Espesially if the package is marked fragile. They love that. I have no idea why they feel the need to be extra brutal with those. If UPS is an option, go for it. By and large they're cheaper, just as fast (or faster) even if they give you longer time estimates, and handle your packages with a lot more care.

Yeah... Well.

I just had UPS fuck up big time with a new driver who can't read a map, get directions, read roadsigns OR tell the difference between North Pond and South Pond Avenues...

Box of Pampers due on WEDNESDAY ( according to their own tracking numbers ) FINALLY showed up on Friday.

The OVERNIGHT DUE THURSDAY MORNING WITH THE $5,000 CHECK? The driver pulled some shit where he sent it back to the depot on Thursday with a "Need Correct Address -- Needs Apartment #" ( I don't live in an apartment house ).

I needed to bash UPS until the managed to find it ( Not "Out for delivery" like the computer said, but kicking around on the depot shelves, and FINALLY go up there and pick up the express mail.

The Baby Wipes due on Wednesday, also?

MIA.

So, we have a dickhead for a new UPS driver, and things went to shit. It happens.
