If what you are looking for is a toga-style off the shoulder dress, it is cheap and very easy to make. Get two yards of whatever material you desire. i went with a silky soft white cloth that won't crease easily. Wrap it around you like a towel but use a brooch to pin it at one shoulder. You may need to trim off the bottom for the correct length or the end so that you don't have too much extra falling from your shoulder. Instead of a brooch, i sewed a rope-type edging along the top and left an end free to tie it together. You may also want to pin the free-falling side together to avoid flashing more than you want. i was thinking of a kajira's slave dress (not dancing silks) when i made it. look for pictures of a polynesian pareau if you want an idea or two.
