I remember those books. I haven't thought about them in a long time. I used to read them when I was a kid. I think I had every single one of them. You sparked my curiosity, so I looked them up. They do still make them; here is their website:

I used to love these books, there was a haunted house one that was really good. And another about a bike that could negate wind resistance and go at ludicrous speed.
