I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a Betty Page costume. (Needless to say, I start getting ready for Halloween really early.) I'm thinking a black vinyl corset, shoulder length gloves, and of course, fishnets. But what should go on bottom? I don't want my arse hanging out for the world to see. I have a few vanilla parties to go to, and, while I love to shock them, I don't love it quite that much. I'd like more the BDSM Bettie than bikini Bettie. Any suggestions?

can you do the one piece leotard (swimsuit style thang) or a small but removable dress for the general ignominious public?

I don't know what they're call, but you should wear those panties that have all the cute little ruffles on the bottom, boy cut, in black.

Bettie was typically shot in briefs. If you can't find ruffle-trim underwear, try your local dancewear shop. If nothing else they'd have dance briefs.

Thanks for the link. I spent two hours yesterday looking for that type of underwear online. As a general piece of advice, don't type in "ruffled panties" on the google search engine. You get some rather interesting porn that way.
I think I'm going to try my hand at sewing this time around. I want black ruffled panties, so I'm gonna give making them a shot. I've got the undies and the ruffles. (I can forsee this being disastrous.) LOL. Wish me luck. Oh yeah, I've got the corset now too. It's just a little faux one from Hot Topic, but it's a cute little number.
