does anyone have any ideas on how to help with extreme belated back pain after an exremely harsh whipping with a crop, and then 10 lashings with a cat o' nine tails. i need to be able to sleep but the pain is intolerable.

i know and understand what you mean. there are several occasions that after an intensive flogging on my back and ass that i cannot find any comfort in trying to lay down especially on my back.i can't count the nights i wil be up in my bed going"ow,ow,ow,ow" and just can't rela or get past the pain(but i also enjoy it).

what i can reccomened is this.is it required you sleep on you back? if not try laying on your side or on your stomach providing you haven't eaten right off hand.another thing that may help is find out if you can slip into a hot tub,i found that can also help ease the pain sometimes.

lower back?  because if you were hit on your kidneys you could have internal damage and need emergency medical attention

pain getting worse despite painkillers is a definite red flag.  i'd at least discuss my symptoms with the nurse advice line at the local hospital.  good luck, hope it's nothing serious and you'll be better soon.

If you notice blood in your urine then get to medical care quickly as your kidneys may have been damaged, if antiinflamatories (?ibuprofen, I don't know what they call the drugs in America) try cold packs, but I see it is really cold over there right now anyhow, and I don't like coldpacks when it is cold myself. Maybe heat will help better, a hot shower, warm packs etc. Keep an eye on your urine, drink pleanty of water. Be careful next time.

If you are having that much problems I would advice seeing a doctor, back injuries are very tough to recover from and it sounds like the problem is definitely more than just bruising, it could be one of the muscles damaged enough to cause it to cramp and that can result in pulling the spine out of alignment so it could be a pinched nerve

ibuprofen is aspirin based  so can interfere with blood clotting  so if you have a lot of bruising may not be the best option  as it can increase the amount of bleeding under the skin

Also watch for black  dark stools  another sign of internal bleeding.

I would just agree with others, but really do watch it, depending on the person a such severe pain could be a hint of much more serious problems

depending on how hard the hits were , deep internal brusing  and micro tears could have taken place .Hot baths , ibuprofens ,rest ,heating pads .If open wounds are present it will take  longer .and the other posters are correct blood in urnine means get to a doc or ER now .you can also try tiger balm if no open wounds are present ,apply on a test area firt and then only use for a short  time then hot shower  with soap for removal  again lots of rest .
