it is very easy to overdose on alcohol with an enema as the colon absorbs the liquid directly into the blood stream...

when you drink alcohol there are various areas it gets absorbed...a bit gets absorbed in your mouth, then in your stomach and then the rest in your small intestine...it takes an hour for an ounce of alcohol (approx one drink - a shot of hard liquor, 12 oz of beer, one glass of wine) to be processed by your body...

that process is eliminated when you introduce it through an enema...and alcohol poisioning is extremely easy and you cannot pump the stomach or swallow charcoal to counteract the effects...

that being said....if you want to take the risk...be careful...read up....know the reciever and their alcohol tolerance...they may have standard guides, but if the person is an extreme lightweight and is drunk off their ass after 2 glasses of wine...the standard might be too much...

Well, alcohol is essentially an enigma.  Is it the drink of the Gods?  Or something to make us understand the animal nature in us all?  Does it inhibit inhibitions, freeing us to do what we really want to do?  Or make us fall asleep?

Dionysius epitomized the enigma of alcohol, and Nietzsche waxed rhapsodic on the Dionysian/Apollonian dichotomy, showing the enigma within the paradox.

Enigmas are great fun--I would continue the research!  But don't expect closure.  The enigma has taunted us humans for millennia!

Is the enigma wrapped in a conundrum?

a mystery perhaps, it is as if an iron curtain has descended upon eastern europe.

enema and alcohol. first it will dry the lining, second, lets say you are not a professional soak like me...........

I can do a bottle of Jameson in a night.

you might do like 4 beers.........

well, never wanna shove more than one or two measured drinks up a persons ass at once, or you got instant alcohol poisoning and you are looking at death...

serious shit here kids.........

make an enema ONE can of 3.2 Beer.  See the results of that.

You are fucking with real sharp edges here, if you go into Alt in the news forums you can search for someone who stuffed a bottle of wine up their hubbies ass (in Louisianna I think) and he tipped the fuck over, taking a long dirt nap......not the outcome one usually is trying to achieve.

Half a glass of wine in a quart of water will produce the effect of 3 or 4 glasses drunk on an empty stomach in a short period of time. So if the poor enigmatic person taking the enema gets drunk on one glass (like some of us cheap dates) then don't give them more than a quarter of a glass the first time.

But this is one of those things that if you don't know what you're doing, you could easily wind up in jail for.

Shit. I usually start to get quite tipsy after a couple of regular glasses (i.e. 14 fl.oz. or so). Since being drunk isn't agreeable to me, it rarely goes beyond that. Either way, I certainly wouldn't dream of sticking it up someone's ass. If I am ever going to kill a partner, I am damn well not going to do it with alcohol poisoning. What a waste.

I will be charitable and guess that you mean "enema" not "enigma".

I will further guess that you mean consumable alcohol such as wine, beer, and so forth.

And now I stop with the guesswork, and present you with medical facts.  (You can check these yourself with "google" or you can ask your physician or health-care provider, if my information as a pharmacist isn't enough for you).

The intestines absorb any substance at over 3 times the rate that the stomach would absorb them, and the intestinal lining is easily damaged by many substances which would ordinarily be "safe".

Alcohol (liquor of any kind) can cause fatal poisoning even when it is ingested through drinking.

It is even more dangerous, and more likely to cause serious or fatal poisoning, if introduced into the body via the large intestine and colon.  It takes less than 1/4 cup of beer, whine, or "hard liquor" to create a potentially life-threatening condition.

Bottom line, therefore? Don't be stupid.  Never use alcohol in an enema preparation.

This puts a whole new twist on the phrase, " I'm so happy, I could just sh*t! "

But seriously... like all the folks that have responded before me, if the receiver doesn't tolerate alcohol well, start with miniscule amounts.  It's possible to add more, but if you've started with too much to start with, the results can be deadly.  If you're trying to kill your partner, well... that's a whole other story.  This isn't my year for snuff, and 2008 doesn't look probable either.
