Hubby and I rented the most hilarious movie last night, and I just have to share it with all of you...

It's a Japanese film called Beautiful Prey and we chose to watch it with the English voice-over. The basic plot is that a shy and geeky female Detective gets involved in a case surrounding bdsm. She meets a "masochist" who is terribly abused by her "sadist" boyfriend. They must sell really harsh riding crops in Japan as these leave INSTANT scars. Also, anyone who dies bleeds profusely through the mouth, no matter where the wound site originated. We learned that a car going about 25 miles per hour can spin out so uncontrollably that it can flip over. The look on the "sadist's" face whenever he dons his latex is PRICELESS.

Pretty much this is like watching a bad Japanese monster movie...only kinkier. I highly recommend throwing this movie in the mix on a B movie night...that is if you enjoy awesomely bad movies like Cannibal! The Musical, and Leprichaun in the Hood.

Exit to Eden with Dan Alroyd and Rosie Odonnell is the silliest one I have seen. The sad fact is they made a crap comedy out of a very sexy serious BDSM book by Anne Rice.

And here I thought Marebito was bad.  o_O Eesh.

Then again I've found that Japanese horror or thriller movies are very, very hit and miss.  One of my dirty little shopping habits is to buy Asian horror movies whenever I stumble across them and so far I've found Japan to have the highest gold to crap ratio, with Korea coming in a very close second.  Thailand's doing pretty well for themselves though.

Exit to eden was pretty damn bad... The last thing I ever wanted to see was rosie in leather!

I loved Exit to Eden. It was so bad it was great. Hector Elizondo’s aura and Iman in red leather, my goodness! I'll have to rent Beautiful Prey. I wonder is it easily accessible i.e. Blockbuster type rental places. There aren't that many video stores in my area.

The only thing I care to remember about Exit to Eden the movie is Paul Mercurio in very little to nothing. LOL... The rest was just window dressing for him. [;)] The book was much better.

Im not saying this is a BAD bdsm film...but it got me thinking, I SWARE im like the only person EVER besides the 3 people that saw it with me who have ever watched "Preaching to the perverted"

Agreed. That was a really good book and a really bad movie.
I'll add "The pet." A lot of hype and build-up for that one and quite frankly...It sucked. (And not in a good way.)

I have seen Preaching to the perverted.... I liked it.

Anything done by Cindy prince has got to be the funniest and worst BDSM movies I've ever seen.Just the sound track alone made me cringe.

Chromey bought preaching to the perverted about a year ago, it's one of our fave BDSM movies... "i've always wanted a pony!" ~gigglez~

Most japanese films are pretty kinky: I mean, look at all those guys dressed in rubber monster suits! (and I'll just bet that those are their girlfriends there, dressed as miniature Tokyo buildings)

The silliest BDSM in a movie? "High Anxiety." But then, you usually don't have to look far to see us portrayed as either comic relief, or homicidal sickos.... (I still think Secretary has set the high bar for awhile.)
