You will of course, notice in my statement that I said 'I found"...meaning that this was my interpertation of the web site. Yes, i did notice that. I'm one of those who think of slavery and submission as two different things....IMO. Therefore, i felt a need to see if the web site in question was about slavery as i interpret that word. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Castle Realm may not be everyone's cup of tea. However the words i've read here to describe that web site are uncalled for. I still go back to read some of the articles. I remember reading the one Jade wrote about being a sub without a Dom. In it she talked about self improvement and what a sub could do to make personal improvements even without a Dom. Here on Collarme i have more than once read a post written to a sub where self improvement...learning a skill such as cooking or massage, etc.... is recommended. The very first place i read that advice was at Castle Realm. I read posts on Collarme where people wish to make personal vows to one another. They seek a ceremony that will help them symbolize their special feelings. The poster is often told to go go Castle Realm to read the Ceremony of Roses or The Collaring Ceremony. It's where i learned about safety, read my first BDSM activity check list, and learned that D/s need not include SM. It's where i first learned of contracts, about how to use rituals, and the benefits of a submissive journal. I don't see these subjects as particularly romantic, however, i guess some might think articles on mutual respect and trust are romantic. (shrugs) My mind keeps wandering back to my Thanksgiving dinner....turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, candied sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple dumplings, and pecan pie. My dinner contained the substance of meat and potatoes as well as the fluff of a sugary desert. It also included the candied sweet potatoes which i hate. However, i did not throw out the whole dinner because i disliked one part of it. I enjoyed eating those things i like. I enjoyed the decadence of desert...the fluff. And i left the sweet potatoes to someone else. edited to try to remove typos
