Ok, Here is my situation: I have a sub who has made it clear she wants to be a slave to me but is unsure about it. What would you all think of using subliminal training to coax it out of her? I am of the mind that if she didn't know, and was already leaning that way, accelerating her "decent" would not be a bad thing. But I would like other opinions.

How about you listen instead of trying to make her mind up for her? Forcing an issue that "she is unsure of" isn't leadership. Listening, communicating, hearing and understanding is.

Subliminal training means some sort of hypnosis. Are you trained and qualified for this type of thing? As for "accelerating" her descent (which is what I hope you meant, not trying to make her "decent"), why would you use a methodology to accelerate a way of being that she herself needs to desire, crave and be cool about? Can you not let your relationship unfold at a leisurely pace or are you in such a hurry that you are going to try some Vulcan mind meld thing to make it happen fast.

If you do stuff she doesn't know about in order to make her do things she would not consent to, then it's unethical as hell. How about earn her trust over time so she will gladly follow you where you lead? Of course that requires that you do have your shit together to be a trustworthy leader.

In my narrow scope I find many submissives have slavish tendencies. Here I define submissive along the lines of pet, and slave as property. Many submissives want to be sex slaves, until sex is over. Many want to be domestic slaves. Many want to be emotional slaves. Using my definitions, it is extremely rare to find a 100% 24/7 slave. I can easily put myseld in your situation. Let her call herself your slave, if it's the title she wants. If she wants you to start making decisions for her regardless of her opinion, start where she's most comfortable (probably in the bedroom). If you don't trust her or yourself to allow such a power exchange, tell her. "Slavegirl, we are not going to engage in that level of power exchange yet. You will earn the right to forfeit your rights in time."

Dare I suggest doing it the "old-fashioned" way? Spend time together, try different things, communicate honestly and see what happens without being concerned about definitions.

That does not sound "sure" at all. You need a lot more communication with her, about what she is looking for, and what you are looking for. I'd focus there.

I greatly appreciate all of the input from you all. I figured it was a bad idea. That must be why I didn't go ahead and do it. Though I am surprised that not one person who read my original post was in favor of the idea. I guess not as many sleazy types read this as there are trolling around the site in general. However, those who do, do it for the right reasons...NOT BECAUSE THEIR GIRL IS UNDECIDED ABOUT WHAT SHE WANTS OR NEEDS. Your attitude is pretty much what I expected from someone who would ask such a question in the first place.
