Since it seems the rules in this area have been a bit unclear, here are the official rules starting now.
Please do not bump your posts or polls with smiley faces or random comments in attempts to gain more stars or more visibility.
We have instructions on how to use the search feature and if someone has something to contribute to that discussion, they can use that option. If you feel you have something additional and significant to contribute to your original post or poll, you may add it in the form of a new post.
People who abuse this and continue to bump posts with blatant nonsense may see their star rankings go down, the thread or poll may be locked and if it continues those people may be subject to have all of their posts moderated. We are all adults here, please respect the rules.
That being said, polls do not need to have time limits on them, and discussion of other options that may not be on the poll but somehow relate to the original subject and contribute to it are allowed to stay up.
I am going to unlock the polls that were locked, but if we see that the bumping them with spam continues, the appropriate actions will be taken.
