Christina,

are you submissive in every aspect of your life, with every relationship that you are a part of?
if yes, than you are definitely in the minority and from a first-hand perspective, probably won't ever understand how folks "switch".
if no, then you have an understanding of the switch mindset more than you realize.

edited to add:
with regards to your OP issue, this slave would encourage you to embrace any experience your Dom has arranged for you, regardless of the chronological age of the participant(s)or any other qualifier.

just this slave's humble opinion.

id be insulted
him expanding your criteria without your knowledge and then asking you to put yourself in a situtation you were trying to avoid is dangerous emtionally, because it raises many questions that your criteria didnt include and possibly you werent ready for
plus he did it behind your back, very sneaky
normally i wouldnt think this way over tests, tasks, etc for a Master
but when adding a 3rd person to the mix requires finess which was defiantly lacking

enjoy the drinks though, you never know

Sorry but that just sounds terribly goofy. Knowing that she's a switch doesn't give you any insight into where her minds at, so how do you know it's not where you think it should be? Secondly, if a Dom/me's actions were based on where a sub thought their head should be, that would kind of defeat the purpose no? Having standards is great, letting them hold you back is not. I think the chances of this working out are very slim because obviously this is something that's waying on your mind heavily and it's hard to put those feelings aside to truly focus on reality as opposed to what goes on in our own heads.

And, personally, I took it the wrong way quite a few responses ago. Not understanding it is one thing but the way you state it ("never did understand the whole 'switch' mentality") makes you sound very un-objective. Maybe it's the quotation marks that give me the feeling of you seeing switches as THOSE people, over there - aka not me and not in my circle - aka one with whom I cannot relate.

And your use of the word evolve - a clever way to walk on eggshells.

Without saying too much, let me just say that switches are more a part of my circle than anyone here knows. (except for those who have been around a couple of years, and paid very close attention.)
I do apologize once more.
It was never my intention to hurt or offend anyone. I wanted to 'check' my feelings against what others felt, and possibly learn and to grow. (or have an excuse NOT to *lol*)

As I understand your post, and your profile, your mindset is someone to phsycially train you and guide you in general obediance. Well, I for one think a switch is ideal. She understands both sides. I have trained subbies before a bit in general obedience, focus, self-awareness, etc. - and I was often much tougher than the Dom. It was like there was a shorthand we spoke that just worked well. And I can't be coerced by the tricks - cause I use them myself. *winks.

Just a thought.
