My newest resolution...

Go back on South Beach and get my blood sugar regulated again starting tomorrow... now that the holidays are over....

And... find a better paying job...

What is it you want to accomplish?

Good luck Julia.

I have to say after 40 some years, resolutions and diets don't work or last with me.

Internal/lifestyle changes, choices and decisions work better for me.

I am not making any resolutions, but I have already decided on lifestyle choices, decisions
and changes that are in the making.

I have had much luck with New Year's resolutions... I do not insist that I must start on Jan 1st and never falter though. I tend to look at what I would like to accomplish for that year and then set out to do it. I have lost a lot of weight and kept it off... South Beach is a way of life for me when I feel my blood sugar is off, and it has remained sustainable for me.

I quit smoking three years ago, not on the 1st of Jan, but by the end of Jan...

I tend to look at a new year as an opportunity to accomplish something new, as a clean slate. It is a bench mark for what I accomplished last year, and it shows me consistantly that I can accomplish what I set out to do... last year I wanted to start my application to graduate school. I accomplished that. Next year I would like to be making enough money to relocate to graduate school.. and something tells me I will accomplish this also...
