Soldiers at war aren't and shouldn't be afforded speedy trials before they're shot in combat.

I am confused, wouldnt that logic imply that all civilians trying to live their lives working in the World Trade Center, Baghdad, Basra, etc., etc., are soldiers at war and should be shot dead in combat?

Sinergy

p.s.  For those playing the home game, I have trouble understanding why the United States is able to use the death of innocent civilians killed in the United States as a pretext or justification for killing innocent civilians in their homeland.

..there's an old saying in UK print journalism that is used to decide what goes on the front page...
..."One dead Brit is worth ten dead Belgians is worth a thousand dead Africans".........sadly it seems that the same skewed set of logic can be used in Politics (use of deadly force variety)

One needn't be a soldier, to be a casualty of war.  I'm not arguing morality here, only illustrating reality.

The price of Freedom and Liberty is ACCEPTING the risks inherent in other people having Freedom and Liberty.

For those of you who think that Bush started the war you are wrong. The terrorists have been at war with us for decades:

Terrorism, according to the current administration, started with militant Islamists from the Middle East.

People in the Middle East have been objecting to the White Man's Burden since the days of British Imperialism.

The Middle East is predominantly peopled with Islamists.

We have been at war with Britain since 1776.

A coincidence?  I think not.  Q.E.D.

LOL, I suspect you have issues with the currency and the viability of the 'current' administration, as do I.

A REAL COMNERVATIVE

WHY DO you no-start losers want to pretend and lie about conservatism?

It is one matter to understand how poorly the Bush administration has failed. It is another to openly criticize it with no definitive panacea or plan set forth as a solution. I am completely independent, not a fan of Lou Dobbs either. I simply am looking for a candidate that has real, viable solutions that can be explained in black and white. If anyone comes across one, please let me know. Have a great day everyone !

sissy
