And I respect your opinion as well. The "training in clubs" is just bothering me. It seems to just take it a bit farther than my personal comfort level.

One of the toughest things I think, is that there are so many different ways that things can feel and be "normal." I'm guessing that a hot het male like yourself knows that not all breasts feel the same. Some are normally lumpy, some feel stringy, some hard, some soft... all of which can be normal. And all of which can change day to day based on hormone levels. So if you take on the responsibility, if you will, of doing my breast exam, you take on the responsibility of knowing when this lumpy bit or that lumpy bit is not normal.

I would hate for a guy to justify to himself to stop going to the doctor because his Dr. Domme (who managed to have someone train her) says his prostate is fine. Unless she has a real medical degree. I just see that as a very real slippery slope to try to stand on.

Now having said all that, if you can talk your doctor into letting me repeatedly slide my gloved fingers into your ass while you're bent over an exam table, well, then I'll book my ticket to Tennessee right now.

Eh... I ask Valyraen to let me know if he feels any lumps in my breasts and every now and then I'll ask him to take a look at my vulva or vagina if things feel weird down there, but ultimately, I do feel that it's my responsibility to check myself for breast cancer and get my pap smear every year. Course I'm not in the key age range for breast cancer and have no family history so I'm rather bad about remembering to check but I get the pap smear done on time!

I think it would be a plus if a domme knew how to spot growths but would regard it as ultimately his responsbility to still get checked out by a medical professional if he thought he was at risk or in the right age range. A person can feel a lump in the body and think it's cancer when it's just a bit of hard fat or the other way around.

Also, I also would worry that a male submissive (not wanting to go a male doctor and deal with a very unsexy exam) would simply rely on his mistress. If Val misses a lump, at least I get a breast exam once a year when I go in for my pap smear. Hell, if Val could do an "at home" pap smear test, I'd be inclined to do the same thing. I don't care what they say, that damn test hurts!

Fuck just call a breast cancer center and tell them you are concerned about your girlfriend. And yes, breasts do feel different and breasts are different. Not every lump is a bad one. I've got one (or I did before the reduction, haven't gotten the chance to feel around them yet) that is a lump of some kind yet no doctor who has felt it has been concerned, even one who specialized in breast cancer and had a definate interest in me getting anything that could possibly be worth looking at checked out.

She ain't bluffing, otherwise it'd be a hell of a lot easier to teach women how to give exams. "You feel a lump of any kind, you come in". Not the whole "check to see if it moves, check how hard it is, check to see how the skin atop it moves". Here, I checked one of the websites for how to give a breast exam, "Most of the time, lumps and bumps are normal, breasts are unique to each person."

I wouldn't think it would be that hard actually, provided you two could show up at doctor's office together and said that you wanted her to learn because you two do a lot of prostate stimulation anyway. And yes, you could probably get a doctor to show you how to check your girlfriend's breasts if you showed up with her. Course, the doctor probably won't have you give it a shot in the room, so you'll still have to woo her with wine and roses afterwards. Or paddles.

Driver I think your idea of training is actually a good one for both Doms and Dommes
There are many times I have read about a woman finding a lump on her breast and suddenly become so terrified that is was definitely cancer that they ended up avoided going to the doctor and hides that fact even from her husband as a result and too often by the time they find themselves forced to finally go it has mestasized. I am not sure if part of the reason I tend to read, note and am more aware of these stories is based on the fact that I myself am a cancer survivor and I find it quite sad to read/hear from women that are dying or have had to have radical surgieries all because fear froze them from seeking help sooner

So the value in training is not just about detecting but having an emotional support to help get a person to go a doctor sooner and little gentle pressure from a caring dom/me may actually help to save lives or at least get a person to a doctor soon before worst damage occurs

Here's an idea - Pro Dommes should all learn how to do breast examinations and prostate examinations, there ought to be a way you can get certified to do them (and of course if you found any thing you could refer them to a physician). Then when the sub is going to see the Domme, they can say "Oh I am going for a prostate/breast exam." Maybe you could even have your sessions paid for by your health insurance, as you are having a diagnostic procendure. My insurance covers 100% of cancer diagnostic treatments - you wouldn't even have to make a copayment.

I'm not suggesting anyone do this unless they can do it perfectly legal.

NOPE.....It's just breaks the moment if we don't have a professional coaching one of us on the proper techniques. This has to be a trial an error type thing with an adequate number of corrections. (Of course, a group study class would be fun too.)

That said, I have ONE last one I know to ping and then I'm out of pings. I may be forced to offer to fly to her. ^_^;
