This is mostly a question for male subs:

What do you think if a new Mistress gets mushy on you? Maybe she writes you a mushy letter, or sends you flowers, or poetry, or a singing telegram, or really likes PDA?

Obviously these things are great in a LTR, but what about when the relationship is new? How do you feel about getting involved with a Mushy Mistress?

LadyGrey---I'm a fan of any Mistress who isn't afraid to show their "mushy" side and would be thrilled to know they thought enough of me to do one of the nice things you list.  If anything, it would create far more loyalty from me than constant "hardness".

beeble -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 4:53:31 PM)

My Mistress is often mushy and it's wonderful to be teased and tormented by a woman who loves me so much.  Sorry, I'm getting mushy.

youngsubgeoff -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 5:40:00 PM)

LadyGrey,
The one potential I am seeing now has become the only one because she is affectionate towards me. I do not want just a beating and a kick out the door. I want to know Im cared for, Im wanted and appreciated.

Mushy Mistresses

It's a sure sign that my blow up Domme has sprung a leak, crap.

KindLadyGrey... I think its rather nice for a Domina to show Her feelings. i just view a D/s relationship as an extension of a vanilla one, albeit on a slightly different footing. [;)]

That's actually exactly why I asked the question Politesub! If you get too mushy with vanilla guys after a third date, they tend to get really uncomfortable. I mean, obviously I can't speak for ALL men, but mushiness scares away a good percentage of vanilla guys. OMG! The woman wants to express her EMOTIONS! RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!

I was wondering if it's different for subs though, because so many of the ones I've met *are* really romantic sweethearts who don't seem like they would mind that sort of thing at all.

I was feeling mushy last night and thinking about writing a romantic letter to my new boy, but I stopped myself because of the way 'nilla guys have reacted to that sort of thing in the past.

*grumbles about stupid macho 'nilla guys*

Politesub53 -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 6:50:37 PM)

Maybe its just me getting older Ma`am ? [;)]

KindLadyGrey -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 6:56:28 PM)

If getting older makes you more sweet and sensitive then that explains why I like older boys :)

liketophoto -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 7:09:32 PM)

I would love it!
I would like to get mushy back though.
Respectfully, LTP

i'd personally feel that i was with a chivalrous romantic and think how nice it is to meet someone so refreshing and thoughtful.

RedMagic1 -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 7:49:39 PM)

I love expressions of tenderness.  However.....

A few months ago, a woman was (I thought) really into me and started talking about the possibility of us having kids, in a lot of detail.  Wouldn't I prefer a daughter, etc.  This really turned me off, because she was building a castle in the air, and wasn't actually into *me* at all, but the idea of getting married and having a kid, and I just happened to be male and not an asshole.  We hadn't even met in person yet.  This started as soon as I bought the plane ticket to see her.  I felt burned.

I see no reason not to write him that letter and express your feelings, as long as you are truly feeling tender toward *him*.

Dddyanlittlegirl -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 7:57:31 PM)

I wouldnt see any thing wrong with it at all.

petdave -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 8:00:28 PM)

Do they still have singing telegrams? That would be cool.

My perspective could be off because i have a lot more LTR experience than dating experience, but it wouldn't bother me at all, except that i'd feel obliged to "respond in kind" and wouldn't know how far to go.

Now, that is for romantic/sentimental/goofy stuff, not getting eggy as with RedMagic's example. For that, i wouldn't stop runnin' 'till i fell in the ocean [8D]

Christ on a stick! Sorry to hear about that RedMagic. It sounds like a barely averted disaster.

I already have a husband and two children (one who needs to get the hell out of my belly like, YESTERDAY), so suffice it to say that my affections are not at all related to "acquiring" a proper partner for those pursuits. My life is quite full and I only pursue real relationships with people I truly truly like for the wonderful gifts of self they bring into my life :)

rubberpet -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 10:23:00 PM)

I love it when Mistress gets mushy with me.  She may be my owner, but She is still a woman with feelings and emotions who just wants to be loved and appreciated Herself.  She tells me all the time that She loves and appreciates me and all my efforts.  It's a wonderful feeling to know that I found the greatest domme I could have ever hoped to find.  She sends me text messages and e-mail all the time to show that She's thinking of me.  She sends me little care packages filled with candy She has made.  She lets me be open an honest with my feelings toward Her without fear of judgement or ridicule.  The beauty of it is we have yet to meet each other.  Our first meeting is scheduled for March when She goes on spring break.  I can only imagine the sparks that will fly when we first meet.  I'll be running through the airport, stiff-arming some old lady in a walker, hurdling some toddler in a stroller so I can scoop Mistress in my arms, holding Her as if I'll never let Her go, and placing a big kiss to Her luscious lips as I try my damnedest to slap around Her uvula before I drop to my knees to kiss Her boots.  Sometime in March, look in the direction of Louisiana and if you see fireworks that put New Year's and Independence Day to shame, you know She and I have just met.[;)]  Ah yes...gotta love that PDA!!!

The wonderful thing about my relationship with him ^^^^^ is that we have such good flow (some might call it chemistry) that we can go from sickeningly sweet to the hottest of hots relatively quickly without missing a step. It's lovely to be in a relationship with somebody who doesn't throw up a red flag at the first mention of deeply loving feelings that have no overt BDSMness applied to them. He is my boy and I am his Mistress and telling him that I love and cherish him on numerous levels doesn't subtract from that at all.

Early in my BDSM history people seemed to take caring for (if not -loving-) someone as being 'too soft' so it's actually taken me a long time to embrace that having a full range of emotions doesn't detract from my dominance. Trying to suppress that I am a loving partner would be like trying to suppress any other aspect of my persona, including that I am a dominant.  I'm incredibly fortunate to have found somebody who appreciates me and loves me as I love and appreciate him (even if occasionally I make him 'hate' me with the things I do to him *smirk* :)

darchChylde -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/4/2008 10:38:58 PM)

let's see, i love a dominant woman

wait, i love a dominant who's a woman

wait, i love a woman

OMG!!! all three of these people inspire the same level of submission in me, something must be wrong with Her or me or perhaps the world is coming to an end

if i was afraid of Ma'am being a woman, who can sometimes be girly, loving, affectionate, silly or a bit of a dork along with cruel, conniving, manipulative, tormenting, evil and dominating; well, i'd have to take an interest in men

sorry, i love a woman who's a woman

Politesub53 -> RE: Mushy Mistresses (1/5/2008 3:56:11 AM)
