you went to this Planned Parenthood? http://www.ppwnm.org/

Quite honestly what you are saying and what I know of the orginazation are a bit contradictory.  PPs first priority is for women's health, their mission is to provide service to women who cannot recieve service through traditional means.  I'd call them again.

This isn't an issue of better birth control, it's a health issue.  7 days of a 28 day cycle is extreme and calls for a full evaluation.  I'm not sure how someone can function in this culture when they are incompacitates 1/4 of the time.

And I have to wonder if your Dom is looking at the period of time when you are off limits to him and also thinking it's a bit too much.  Personally, I'd find a way to deal with it as I am not one who likes to have anything impact my life.

misub33 I think that you need to be very clear about this being a limit for you. Not everyone feels better after an orgasm in regards to menstruation issues, I for one actually get sick to my stomach if I have an orgasm on my period. I understand too the frustration of not having the resources for real medical care, I hope that part changes for you. I'm sure you know the heating pad and hot tea routine! If sex hurts make that a limit. Omega, I went to PP and explained that I hadn't the money for my (at that time $33) a month prescription. I was turned away, not even given a condom. I don't know if it is a Michigan thing but not all PP is equal, unfortunately. When I went there was a young man working the reception desk, he was rude & dismissive. I've never returned to them. I was a lot younger and it was hard to ask for help. Being turned away like that was not a good experience, I had the prescription but not enough money to get it filled.

Camille, I'm on the other side of the state from the OP and I've used their services in the past when I've been between insurance with absolutely no difficulty.  Once when I was above the income for a free visit they were quite congenial in providing me with a payment plan but the other times services were rendered with no fee.

Curiosity just got the better of me so I called the GR clinic and was assured that they do work on a sliding scale though because of budget cuts they have become more frugal.

On the flip side, I work with a woman who's husband makes large gifts to PP every year and for his contribution the support staff in our office are treated to a luncheon on Secretaries Day which is provided by PP.  The bulk of their money IS provided by private contributions and they earmark the majority of it to women's health (in fact you can contribute to PP and stipulate that none of your monies will go toward abortion).  I would think that it would be a big public image fiasco if word were to get out that they may not be providing services as they are stating.

I agree whole-heartedly.  Negotiate a peace during these times, and some of the other advice I've seen sounds good -- getting second opinions, etc.  Take care that the one you are with will take care.

Definitely seek out a gynocologist, I had problems that were getting worse for years and doctors kept brushing off, finally ended up hemmoraging and ended in ER,  had fibroid tumor diagnosed by ultrasound and uterus lining was all shot to hell from years of verylong  heavy menstrual cycles  which ended with me needed a hysterectomy, which could have been avoided years earlier if the doctors had not blown off as me overreacting to the discomfort I was in, by less drastic means

This is a strange topic...  because I've actually known some women that get super horny around and during their period time.   Others, it's the complete opposite.

Know your partner and yourself.  That's all I have to say about this one.

Have you ever heard of PMDD?  It's like PMS times 10.  The crapping being key.  There is also something called Endometriosis (which I should get points from the point Gods for spelling correctly), this alone can be causing bad cramps for you.  I think for a large group of us orgasms during our cycles are helpful.  You may have other underlying issues.  The lining of your uterus could be too thick, endometriosis, and my personal favorite (lots of sarcasm there) Polycsytic Ovarian Syndrome.  A GYN is definitely your best bet.  Planned Parenthood is great for birthcontrol issues.  Certainly birth control such as A-Lessor could help relieve your issues, but it would be nice to know the source.

Best of luck!

i have a learning dis. while i try my best  at everything  writing is not a strong point for me.

Trying your best is all we can do, so hang in there. I apologize for my snarky comment, also.

As for your question: No, I wouldn't cause a submissive in pain, further pain.

Eapecially if she has an attractive friend who is currently "cramp-free." I think this has to be viewed in the context of the Miss America pageant....If you are unable to perform your subly duties then the "runner-up" should step in to complete that which you are incapable of.

It sucks. Make sure that the "runner up" is not more interesting than yourself or you will soon find yourself looking in from the outside.

Level hates people with disabilities. He once drove a slave from Arkansas with a hairlip off of this site....Pay him no mind.

i get horrible cramps for 3 more day before my period then i get  my normal cramps so here is the real question as a Dom would you fuck know it does not help your slave in pain at all just to fuck her or take care of her so she can serve you better  when she is well?

Most Men will fuck their hand, a sheep, or the cleft between two pillows..so yeah, there's your answer right there.

I have a few medical issues that are sometimes severe enough for me to have to call uncle.  My Sir knows me well enough to know that if I tell him "I want to, but I really just can't" I probably should have stopped a long time before that.  I had problems with bad cramps and really heavy bleeding before having my first um, so I definitely sympathize and would tell you to tell any so-called dominant who can't understand that you're human and need a break when you're in pain to take a hike.  There are good ones out there somewhere. ;)

Orgasms really do seem to help menstral cramps. For me, I have to catch it at the right moment. Ex - before my STRONG cramps hit. Otherwise I'd punt anyone who tried to touch me. When the pain happens....its just me and the pain pills. Hehe!

Katy let me put a red period on your forehead and I will take care of you. I did not see anywhere where the op addressed her problem with her Dom. The question I have is did she try oral sex while she was having her cramps?

If she was in pain I'd want to know why so it would be off to the Dr. for her, with Me in tow to make surw she went and got the answers W/we need. After that I'd take it from there, but the priority has to be to make sure she's ok, or at -going- to be ok.
