Well, T, you might want to consider that the guy may not have been of sufficiently sound mind to think his plot through; and a good thing for this lady, wouldn't you say?
Sometimes, Occam's Razor is surprisingly sharp in dealing with purported conspiracies; let's think more clearly than he did. There are a billion different X'es that will make the details add up, even though they obviously don't on their own. He may have been too far gone to think it through. Or it may be the case that he did think it through, but that the guy in question did some checking on his own. After all, if you're going to carry out what you believe to be a rape fantasy, you're going to want assurances that it's the real deal, and not a set-up of whatever sort. And you're going to need some way to get in touch with the actual victim, or else you can't carry it out. Perhaps it's a simple coincidence; he could have lost the phone number he was given, and then looked up her address with directory services to avoid seeming like a twat. Who knows?
There is nothing substantial to gain by targetting CollarMe that isn't easier to accomplish in other ways.
I love to read a good conspiracy theory (Dan Brown comes to mind), but this simply isn't one.
