MistressVnus -> Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/10/2008 2:46:02 PM)

I keep running into these threads all over the place about switches/bi's/straights/gays/....blah blah blah....category, category, category.  Human nature, no doubt.

However, I don't know about anyone else....but I classify myself as Pansexual.  I will say "bi" when that is the closest option I can get in a choice for a profile.

Whoever it is... a man, woman, tv, ts, lesbian, or gay man....I have played with them all.  To me, it isn't about the gender or sexual preference, its about the Domination and the submission and/or the S/m.  Nuff said.
Any takers on this subject?

Parataxis -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/10/2008 6:08:07 PM)

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of the term 'pansexual'; makes me think of having sex with kitchen implements ;)

Personally, I only really see the validity of two sexual catagories: Sexual or Non-Sexual (I hate the mis-use of the term 'asexual').  Everything else is just details and aesthetics.  Sexual is pretty similar in practice to pansexual, but it's the philosophy behind it that differs.

(for the record, I consider myself sexual).

bipolarber -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/10/2008 6:14:14 PM)

Pansexual, omni sexual, queer, pervert... a rose by any other name. I've been down much the same road, Vnus. I've just never understood the barriers that society seems to love throwing in the way of people getting close to one another. Maybe there's just one term for those of us who are so versitile:

"sexual."

christine1 -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/10/2008 6:18:38 PM)

i think it is all about preferences...yes people can be and are whatever they are and desire; sexual or not, bi, gay, lesbian, straight, sado, etc.   and it's  all fine and good, to each his own....but i think the preferences are definitely the underbelly of it all.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/10/2008 9:51:36 PM)

If there needs to be Ds or bdsm or SM it's not pan- it's kinky.  Since you're saying you wouldn't want sex in a vanilla relationship or where the sex is vanilla.

MistressVnus -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/11/2008 2:40:18 AM)

A vanilla relationship?  EEEEkkkk!!  Don't let that little vanilla ice cream cone fool ya over there to the left.  I'm working quickly to get that changed.  *chuckle*  I think I have to hit 100 posts or something.

However, vanilla sex....hmmmmm.....what is that, exactly.  If you spank someone then have missionary position intercourse...is that vanilla sex?
I would suppose that vanilla sex means, nothing but straight up kissing, hugging, rubbing, nipple sucking, and genital message (perhaps a vibrator or two) as foreplay, followed by oral sex or genital intercourse.  If that's the definition....(which it is to me)...then I haven't had vanilla sex in a veeeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyy long time.

With that said, I can safely say that I don't have vanilla relationships, nor do I have vanilla sex (any more).  And, as for the term "sexual"....anyone can be "sexual"....even someone vanilla.

I just like to keep my borders open.  I have had some great experiences that, at first thought, I thought were over the top for me. But, by allowing myself to have the experience, I have come to a better understanding about one thing.  No matter what a stated preference is, at some point in time you will come across someone that usually travles on a certain side of the fence who connects with you with a great chemistry , and,  all of a sudden, someone is jumping the fence.   Life IS like a box of chocolates!!!
And I just LUUUVVVVVV chocolate.    And, as you can already see...don't have much of a  taste for vanilla.

BiteGirl -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/11/2008 3:43:14 PM)

I'ma Pan pan! [:D] and yeah, I say bi when there are no other options. Damn those who think that being bi is strange, let alone pan. How sad their lives must be!

Suleiman -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/15/2008 10:32:48 PM)

I dunno. "Pansexual" always make me think of having sex with hairy legged goat-boys. Not nessisarily a bad way to spend the afternoon, but I like a little variety in my diet.

Nothing wrong with "switch", or anything else that fits the bill either - Of course, I only bother with labels when I have to deal with monosexuals, and then only if they insist on getting some explanation of what it is I'm into and then most of the time the answer is "None of your gods-damned business".  Unless I'm interested in having them over for breakfast, there's really no need for an explanation - and by that point, more often than not, they already know.

fluffyswitch -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/15/2008 10:48:59 PM)

i'm pan, though i like 'flexible' too though i can never decide if  i'm homoflexible or heteroflexible, and even less people are aware of the flexible labels than with the pan label so i generally just stick with bi.

I'll have to admit, I'm not aware. Could you explain it to me?

MissOchistic -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/16/2008 2:51:30 AM)

If it moves, I'll take it. Id it doesn't move...well, I'd have to be pretty desperate :D

In all seriousness, though, I have preferences but no standards when it comes to attraction. I dislike having to describe and explain it to people, but I feel it's a good idea to have a label to throw on there and let people know what to expect....sexual and non-sexual might be correct, but they really don't tell you whether they're into girls or not, lol.

Parataxis -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/17/2008 4:35:32 PM)

True, but Homosexual or such doesn't tell you whether you're into blondes or not, or big nosed people or not, or etc...    Aesthetics are aesthetics.

Minor hijack.MissOchistic for a couple of months I've been meaning to tell you I adore your pic here. Every time you post I swear I just wanna kiss the tip of your nose! You're just too too cute.

it generally implies that you have more of an interest in one gender or another but are willing to admit an interest or possible interest in other gender. like a heteroflexible person would be someone who is dominantly heterosexual but either has some experience with their own gender or at least would be willing to have a relationship with their own gender--as i'm i'm hetero but i'm flexible so i don't rule anything out. urbandictionary has a decent list of definitions for it.

Solinear -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/17/2008 6:30:17 PM)

Non descriminational?

There are about two dozen descriptions that all mean something different... what's worse is that half of them mean something different to different people.

Pick something that works for you and run with it!  :)

agoodgirl4Daddy -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/17/2008 7:27:07 PM)

As a woman who has dated and/or had relationships with men, women, and Trans Guys, when pushed to label myself, i opt for Queer, though on collarme.com the only palatable option is Bisexual.

i could just as easily have a loving D/g or D/s relationship with a Biological Male as a Trans Guy.... or a Butch Lesbian.  [:)]

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/17/2008 7:32:44 PM)

pansexual??? so you have sex in the kitchen while cooking with a pan? or do you use pan's to spank your subs???  [:D][:D][:D]

RavenOak -> RE: Good Ol' "PANSEXUAL" (1/18/2008 9:35:12 AM)

Amen sister!  Personally, I think if it happens in my bedroom it's between me, the person(s) I'm with and the four walls that surround us! HAHAHA!

As far as classifying my sexuality; I try not to limit myself to gender, sexual orientation, religion, race or any other babble non-sense.  When forced to do so it goes something like this.....white- bi-fem - switch- Druid.  And I'm up to try just about anything else within reason.  LOL.

You rock!

Raven

Gottcha! That would be most people though, sexuality is never black and white, but people have not figured that out yet I suppose.
