(last night, I think) and I just found out today. Could it already have started to heal?
It's easy to go in on one side and like, impossible on the other.

How recently was it pierced? If its only a few months it could have. Where to go from here? there's a few possibilities, one you could go back to a pro and get it poped through again.
Two, you could brace yourself and ram it as hard as you can through.
Three, you could let it heal.

If I were you and you got it done by somone else other than yourself I'd go back to them. It commonly happens, and if you really want it, its best to get it done right away.

Come on over. My nail gun just happens to be all ready.............

If you are a fast healer, I'd say it is most likely healing.  My advice would be getting a pro to reinstall it; forcing it through yourself will likely hurt more.  DIY might also leave a less than "clean" hole as the threads push through, assuming the barbell has external threads.

If you decide to do it yourself don't wait because you could tare and that would hurt like hell + you would get infected and that would really suck. I'd get to the closest professional piercer and have them do it asap.

Well, Master is a medical professional and always has lidocaine in the house. He numbed me up and put it through. It hurts a bit today.
I've had the piercings for almost two years now, so this was not a fresh piercing, they just seem to heal FAST!

I love threads with a happy end.

All of our bodies are diff...........and even heal differently in different parts of our bodies............  I know from experience...........  some things heal FAST........  no matter how long its been since it was pierced.....others may not heal..........it just "depends".......  but YES.............  part of it could be healed/swollen/inflamed.........

Yep, before He repierced it, I couldn't put the bar through. There was actual skin which had formed after the barbell fell out blocking it. He had to numb it (gotta love Doctor Doms!) and repierce it. It did hurt for about a week, but, it's fine now.
Thanks for all the good advice!

you shouldn't really re-pierce things once they have come out and started to heal you should really wait a few months.

i would baby the piercing as if it is a new one :) nipples can take a while to heal one of my nipple piercings is at least 18 months old and still sometimes gets sore.

Ouch  Ihope its feeling better now.  My 1st nipple peircing was kicked out by my um one night in bed [:@] One wriggly um and a new nipple bar dont mix well lol It ripped quite badly but has healed really well.  I had the otehr side done instead after that and when I changed my bar I found it really hard to get it through the otehr side.

Since I'd had the piercing for two years already, and it had been out less than 12 hours, I figured we were safe. It's completely healed now. (no tenderness, or icky stuff)[:D]
