Ouch. I've been with my husband for over three years. I've been married for two-and-a-half years. I have a son. I'm exactly your age. It's really not as rare a bird as you make it out to be. It just takes two mature adults who click properly at a relationship level.
But on to other things; yes, what you said made sense. Also, I understand what you mean when you say that there was a point in your life when you didn't know how not to be sexual. I've swung to both ends of that spectrum several times. I would be intensely sexual for a while and want everyone to want me, then I would go through a phase where I would try to be the queen of propriety. It's still a struggle, but it's not so intense and I'm OK with occasionally being sexual and occasionally having a stick up my ass. There's a time and a place for everything. I suppose the real difference is that I learned to respect myself and my decisions, and let my self-confidence translate over into sexual attractiveness if that's what people want to take it for. It doesn't matter to me, because I'm happy, I'm sexy, I'm intelligent, and I am who I am.
