The funny thing is I've seen people with a million friends and I like clicking through friends circles to see who likes who. In reality I suppose though it is a bit like Christmas cards in that we all send them for different reasons. [8|]

I, for one, happen to need the friends function. It will make life a damn sight easier for me when I move back home, which is out of the US; though I was born and raisd in the US I don't call it home any longer and moved overseas many hears ago now.  I will have to spend an extended amount of time offline and this allows me to better hide my profile while offline and then find everyone when I am back online. While the favorite users is not much different, and I saw no whining over that, the freinds function allows for an ID change by someone to automatically be changed.

Lumus you hit the nail smack on the head per usual. [:)]

An enemies list would be nice to chart the progress I’m making here.[:D]

LOL. I would love to see this.

I don't care either way about the friends feature. I add those I talk to, and ignore those I don't.

Lumus may have some valid points, he may not...I don't know a damn thing about either one of these people or what past issue they have on some other thread somewhere. I DID find it annoying that this person (Lumus) came into this thread, attacking the OP and did not even post a response to her question. Instead of getting your kicks out of attempting to publicly humiliate someone on a message board, maybe you should take this up with her on a one on one (perhaps by sending her a message) basis.

Both sides of whatever mini online war is going on here need to simmer down....

i like the idea of an enemies list or a "loser" list...maybe a "leave me alone" list and if Y/you see Y/your pic or name on there maybe then those people will take a hint...
:-/

I am glad you noticed that, many here post on threads
only to attack the OP, they really have nothing to say about the topic.
Thats why I did not respond to the attack on me.
The goal was to publically humilate me, because he simply does not like me.
Rather than just not read posts that I start, he felt it was much better
to attack ME.
Many people feel better about themselves, when they trash other people.
I hope they all are happier people now. [;)]

Great observation!

''because he simply does not like me'' charming, really but honestly I have seen you enter into fisticuffs of your own here. None of us are innocents though claiming like or dislike from someone with whom one has a non-relationship to or with is absurd. Some, claim to ''have a take on me'' though they have never met me and know very little about me other than what I choose to tell in a profile here. The high road excludes judging people even though we may be judged.

As to mini online wars, here's my take. If one knows nothing of a situation between people nor has one seen a history of behaviour from one or the other, then my own rule of thumb is to keep the hell out of it. And I have to agree with what others on other threads have said:  that unlike the friends button, this thread seems to be the Jr High School.
