Everytime I try to go to the site, it says that "www.collarme.com is not set up to establish a connection on port 'world wide web service (HTTP)' with this computer. Has anyone else had this problem or know any alternative ways for me to visit, or at least check my messages. I have several but cannot get to them. This started happening when I came back to schoo, but this is the only site I seem to have a problem with.

Two possiblilities I can see:

1.  Standard CM.com bug.  The site's a little shakey, allegedly due to an increasing demand on resources; they hope to correct this soon.

2.  Your school has a firewall blocking access to this site.  To check for this, you could either ask (which may not be the most discrete thing ever) or try looking into different, well-known porn sites and/or personal ad sites (which should also be blocked if it is a firewall).


PS-  I just remembered.. there's a site that can open banned ones in a seperate window for you, thereby allowing you access.  While it's entirely possible that such sites have also been blocked, if you can find the URL to one, it may open CM.com for you.  (I'm afraid I can't recall any URL's for such sites at this moment.  I'd try Google.. may be a little trial/failure until you figure out what the keywords should be.)

I think CL is right on possibility #2. Lot's of schools block Alternative sites. If you have a laptop try connecting through a different network.

I can get to some other porn and alternative sites, so I'm not sure. I don't know them all so I can't check them all. I'll try to find a site that lets me see unblocked ones. Thanks for the help.

Sometime the front page of CM won't load.  So I go to my history log and come directly into the forum area, then can get back into the main site with out a problem.

I was able to use a proxy site and get in. Everything is good now, though, so I'm set for the semester. Thanks.
