From what I know there are only certain acceptable head cleaners. Some are CFCs which are illegal to sell now at least new. Although I do have a jug of the old Freon 12 if you have a classic car you do not want to convert. Other than the CFCs, 91% isopropyl alcohol is acceptable, and if better strength is required a mixture of alcohol and acetone works very well, but don't get too much of it on the surrounding plastic parts. And then there is another chemical, and I am not sure what it is. Now you can imagine the smell of alcohol and acetone, but thios smell was different. It felt funny on the skin, and while effective smelled terrible. I can't imagine that being sold as a fragrance. I refused to buy it, partly because of the smell and also because when you got it on your skin it would of course cool you by evaporation, but it would also have a burning sensation. Remember the smell of Raid ? the bug killer, and most bug killers ? Well that smell is not part of the product. A long time ago we bought some bug killer that did not have that perfume in it, and when we used it it smelled like the old clordane we used to get to fight a really bad ant problem. This was later and we did not have ants, but this was in those cans that can spray like twenty feet. It had none of that fragrance in it, and neither had the FULL STRENGTH clordane we used to get. I mean taking one whiff you would be high, almost incapacitated. That was because you did not smell it. That is the danger and that is why the scent is put into it. I used to ride a bus, and a oman, fancily dressed but ion gawdy attire got on and she smelled so strongly of this scent I became convinced that they had tried to sell it, and that she bought it. There was no way in hell that she bathed in bug killer to that extent. There is a thread somewhere about the dangers of these scents people apply to themselves. They are a mystery cocktail of thing which are a secret. I do not want them on me or my Woman. Keepum. No time to go into it now, be back tomorrow, oops, around here that is today. T
