If you could custom build Your own dungeon how would You create it? Money and space is no object.

hmm, this needs some thought. it would be a stone chamber, with a fireplace. i hate the cold. plus, the smell of firewood eases tranze states. at first site, it would appear to be a man's sitting room, but when the book cabnets opened they would not be filled with litature, rather... useful items i should like to see some of my Mate's swords and knives displayed (He is a blacksmith) and lot's of iron. i don't know if this would match my Mate's ideals, but i'd be happy with such. we have yet to build a house on our land, but have plans. such a room has been mused on.         phoenix

I would build it entirely out of LEGO bricks.

If money were no object I would create it to look just like John Edward's 28,000 square foot home so that I could live in his America.  Then I'd throw a St. Andrew's cross in the basement.

Convert the Tital Missle base in Washington State to a Dungeon (Ebay #190189655473)
Provide free Helicoptor shuttle from nearest town for week or weekend long partys.
Just think Rope suspension 160 ft in the air....
Control Room = viewing/social area
Sensory deprovation, etc. etc.

It was for sale now looks like its rentable ..

Phil, that looks like that would ROCK for a party!

phoenix,  If you don't like the cold, stone would be a poor choice.  But (with $$ being no object.) there is no reason why you can't make/get it made something that looks like stone *grins*

I would like a large room, and since I am not crazy about being cold ethier, would have to be well heated.  There would be at least 1 cross, 1 spanking table, a gurney, 1 medical table.  Along 1 wall would be cabinets, on the bottom with room to hang stuff like floggers above.  in a corner would be a bed at least a twin size. of course the type that you can tie your victim, er........sub too.*winks*  What would be really cool, is if this were a hidden room. accessed thru the bedroom closet or something.  if there are Um's in the house/or others. the walls could be soundproofed.  hehehe.  I just like the idea of hidden rooms anyways. If I ever get to build my own house, I think I would build a few hidden stuff, a room, compartment, niches. *giggles*

Doesn't anyone like Lincoln Logs?  There's a place in the world for old school.  Or perhaps it's the splinters that people don't like.

I'd build it so the entrance didn't go by my mom's kitchen so I wouldn't have to have one of those typical exchanges:

Mom: "Real, have you cleaned your room yet?"
Me: "Mom, I have a new slave girl here. I don't have time to clean my room!"
Mom: "You said that yesterday. Did you pick me up my tampons from the store?"
Me: "Mom!"
Mom: "Oh, is that your slave girl? Oh, she's a lot nicer looking than that biker chick you brought home last time. And what happened to the girl that used to wear the furry suit?"
Me: "They revoked her bail. Something about having to be a thousand feet from a school or park, or something stupid like that."
Mom (to my new slave girl): "Would you like to see Real's baby pictures?"
Me: "Mom!"

HHmmm...pentagram, alter, semi-dark stone room lit only by candlabra. Symbols drawn on the walls and floor...grins.
Why does this have the ring of the past as well as one of kira's stories?
yes a wonderful dungeon atmosphere, kira truly agrees...smiles

I got fed up with dungeons, and I actually like daylight during my exploits, as well as outdoor capabilities without the mailman dropping in, so I bought property to match. My main activity space now is what I call my "rec room", all daylight and French doors. Fixtures and fittings are installed as needed.

I'd love to have a dungeon, and I'm trying to work towards that end.  It would be simple -- a house remodeled to include the support beams and rails for overhead use and moving things around; a nice heating system to make sure things stay warm where you need it to be; a nice full shower-bath facility for the necessary preparations and clean-ups, as well as some relaxation time; furniture, of course, and lots of it, to include the bed(s) and horses and benches and cages; walls would be nice wood to allow for rings and hooks and mirrors and racks anywhere they are needed; and of course the large fireplace and comfortable side-chairs and tables.  And all of it would have to be somewhat out of sight from the front door, leaving a small entry way for uninvited visitors to be entertained in ignorance ;)
