Hello,

I'm Paulie and I have to admit I'm not sure I'm in the right place. I've been interested in a dom-sub relationship for a while because the act of relinquishing power to or accepting power over someone been interesting me for a few years. Not into pain, humiliation or even called Master and fetish wear doesn't appeal a bit. I'm not sure whether I want to be dominant or submissive yet, I still need to figure that out. What worries me is that this site seems to be full of people who know exactly what they are looking and very experienced. Is this place ok for a new person like me to use it to figure out what they are looking for?

Hello and welcome to CM. To answer your question, indeed it is the right place to come. W/we were all new once and had to go -somewhere- to figure things out, I know more than I used to but there's a hell of a lot more I want/need to know.

The boards are a good place to browse-you can ask a question or just look for answers to question you have that have been asked already.

I am gonna pretty much agree with what those above me have said.  I am friends with quite a few new people (online and off) that arent really sure where they fit into the great scheme of things.  Just take your time, make some friends, and dont rush it.  Soon enough, youll figure it all out.

Pffft - a lot of those people who seem to be totally confident and fully expert... aren't. We're all here for various reasons - mostly to learn something or meet someone or sell something - so rest assured you are in the right place. If you haven't already searched for local munches, do so. That's the best way to grow. If you can't find any nearby, see if you can find someone you can visit to go to their local public groups (obviously, careful choice here is important. We're not all good people.).

First of all let me welcome you to collarme, and 2nd let me confirm what others have said, Yes you are in the right place, we all did start somewhere, and had to go somewhere to figure out who and what we were, some of us like me, do that constantly....it's not that i dont know who or what i am but, i am constantly finding myself wanting to go further with this...it has become an addiction to me, and a lifestyle that i have no idea what i would do if i had to live without it.

As a newbie myslelf and know not where i belong, i have found this site to be a good resource, the message boards can be amusing and informative and even makes you realize your normal. The people that you will start to interact with are a great gift, in the sense that you will learn the good and bad, have fun and enjoy

Hello...this is my first time to post on Collarme.  I have been in the BDSM community for about 20 years.  I have been Topping women for most of those years and mostly at play parties.  (I am a woman who loves women.)  I have always had an interest in bottoming, however, it's a mixed bag as I haven't found but few Butch women who I would submit to. 

I also have a stronger interest now than ever, to have a slave.  Years ago, I had submissives for short periods of time.  However, I gave up on the idea of having a submissive because I was tired of training them.  Now, I have that hunger but it is stronger and I desire to have a slave and not a submissive.

I am a bit confused as to what I want to do now and how to go about it.  So, just throwing it out there helps.
