if a man was concerned with my weight because he was worried about the long term effects and he was concerned about taking care of me medically, I would say he was looking out for himself and setting boundaries and that would be fine. But the problem is that most men who criticize women for being too big are more concerned about how it doesn't fit into their aesthetic ideal.

Excellent and deserves to be repeated!

No offense, but this WAS stated before, but you thought the health issues were more important and needed to be addressed.

LadyJC -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (9/11/2005 6:48:11 AM)

LRODANDMASTER:
I am the Crowned Princess Bitch of the Universe...not just a Bitch.
I once dated a man who was extremely overweight the problem....I was not attracted to him. I'm not saying I like scrawny...oww those damn hips dig. However I don't expect him to have a 6 pack either. If they do and they're interested in me then great if not oh well.
The physical attraction is just as important as attraction to the personality, and the mind to me anyways. I wouldn't date a man who had a 6 pack that was a blubbering idiot either.
Once again I am lucky that my body is porportionate however I don't go looking for approval from everyone, just myself. If someone doesn't like me for the way I eat or what I wear then I ignore them simple as that.
When I was younger I would look at my body as ugly, I hated looking in the mirror just to brush my hair, now I look at all the positive things about myself. I looked for approval from others and well I ended up not liking myself too much. Now I don't have issues of looking in the mirror and I don't care what other people think of me I just get on with my life. I refuse to live up to other peoples expectations or the media's expectations.
LadyJC

Hi LadyJC,

Please look at LRODANDMASTER's signature line.... his interjections are tongue in cheek (which cheek I won't say! [:D])

Happy Sunday,

Ever notice how many submissive women are BBW's? I wonder if it's really low self-esteem as a result of being unhappy with their bodies that drives their "submissive" desires. To me, this not true submissive nature, and I suspect that many of them would not be seeking the bottom role if they had a better opinion of themselves. I think that's why there is so much insecurity and emotional baggage that seems to go with dealing with BBW "slaves".
Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting anyone down, but personally, I prefer my slave(s) to be secure in their desire to be dominated, no matter what their body-type is. Know thyself, slaves.

I'm a Rubenesque (big, full-figured, fat, bbw,) woman and I find nothing insulting about your musing, though the handle did give me pause in the beginning. People wonder about all kinds of things, like I wonder why so many of the submissive men I've encountered seem to have below average size penises. It may not be true of most, but I've wondered. Is there really anything so terribly wrong with wondering and asking?

I think sometimes we are way to sensitive to peoples questions. The OP's questions seem to me to be set off because of his experiences and therefore, it sounds like a valid question, not meant to be insulting to bbws. I just see someone frustrated with the women he's encountered and in turn it has caused him to wonder about the mindset of some women in this lifestyle. Maybe, maybe not, just musing.

Rosa,
Dont hate me because I'm fat and beautiful.

*almost spits out her tea* Every once in a while, I come across a truly fucked up comment that makes me laugh when I KNOW it shouldn't, and this was one of them. I am SO saving this for future insult purposes. Thanks for the midafternoon giggles.

"I wonder"

"To me"

"I think"

"personally, I prefer"

Not a single instance of stating any of this posting as absolute fact, merely opinion and curiosity, and yet people are still getting up in arms over it?

Personally, I think that anyone who does not take care of themselves should not be engaging in BDSM to begin with. I believe that if you can't take care of yourself in the most basic areas of life, you will not be able to make good judgements about your relative safety when it comes to risky sexual activities. Mentally, emotionally, physically, all of these to a certain point need to be stable to be safe in what you do, IMHO, whether it is BDSM related or not.

I am not owned...I am really thin and gorgeous...and I would like to be made fat...not obese. Just into the plump range.
Any thoughts....

heavenorhell -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (5/14/2008 9:08:38 AM)

Why on earth do you want to be made fat? I am a BBW and the number of Master's I've spoken to cm who drop me like a hot potato once they know I'm not a size ten is amazing just be glad you're slim and gorgeous I'd swap

Talk to a Doctor first and find out if you have any possible health risks that putting on 15 to 20 or 40 pounds might make worse if not then go and talk to a Personal Trainer and ask them how to put on GOOD curves NOT Mussle but Toned Body Curves.

If you want to be thicker than that then increase the Calories and Decrease the Workouts.

TALK TO A DOCTOR REGULARLY as this when done WRONG can be very dangerous. Also look up that Actress from Bridget Jone's Diary cause she put on nearly 50 pounds and apparently she did it in a Healthy way and has been able to take it off TWICE because she gained it all back for the sequal.

lisakb I think it is good that you are having an active approach to body image it is a refershing change of pace.

Sure, lots of thoughts...

1.  Don't dredge up a thread that is close to three years old when you have nothing with which to improve it.  Start a new thread, since your post is clearly not related to the old one.

2.  You're sounding like a troll.

3.  Schools are letting out all over the place.

4.  Self-descriptions of "gorgeous" are suspect.

5.  If you want to be fat, then eat more.

I was once told that many BBW women weren't actually submissive but couldn't find any other way to get attention from men than by pretending an interest in BDSM, and that by offering kinky sex or other perversities they could thereby gain some level of attention from a male. (A BBW woman told me this)

You gotta be kidding me....

I never had any problem getting laid, nor have I ever had any problem gaining male attention. This is the most bogus theory I've ever heard. Do some woman, thin or fat mistake their own demons for this lifestyle? Yes. Can some broad who happens to be fat catagorize all other fat women into some misguided example of kink gone wrong? I should sincerely hope not.

If my interest in BDSM is pretend, as a means to get attention by offering perverted acts to men who would otherwise be uninterested, then my Sir's gonna punish the shit out of me when he finds out....

Lily

greetings A/all

this is probably the best i've read here so far.  i too have never had trouble getting sex, or having Folks want to beat me well for that matter.  i'd absolutely like to lose weight but i'm horrible at doing it on my own.  hopin my Master-to-be will help with it.  but in the meantime?  i'm active, happy and ok with who i am.  sure, would LOVE to be thinner but i'm no so *shrugs*  it'll come.  and i've always been submissive - my weight has nothing at all to do with that.

that's my [sm=2cents.gif]

gemmie

PS  and i never refer to myself as a BBW.  just never have.  i've always considered myself "thick" and called myself that as well.

OH!!! just came upon this ~~

If you rubbed the magic lamp and the genie granted you one wish, and your choices were:
A. To have a slim, fit body
B. To remove all prejudice or stigma towards overweight people worldwide
Which would you choose? Be honest, now! (sorry, whirled peas not included in wish list :)

well, if i could have any wish at all, i want CDs, up close, personal and in high def, of the best 150 sex times i've had.  barring that, however, i'd choose A.  i'd still be me with perkier breasts (i hope) and cooler clothes.

LacedCorset -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (5/14/2008 10:53:48 AM)

I'm a BBW but I was a sub way before I was big. I have no insecurity over my size and no drama. Maybe it that you have met the wrong people. My role I participate in is through sure pleasure and joy.

I have heard so many stories about the BDSM lifestyle that subs are this way because of their childhood and the way they were treated....Well that might be true for some and I hope they are getting therapy for it. But putting all people into a stereotype isn't helpful. Be aware there are alot more people out there then the little world you live in.
