I have Monday off for MLK day.  I get all the federal holidays off, and no one I know ever has the time off.  I tried to organize a fishing trip for Monday, but my friends are pussies and won't call in sick (lol).  So it looks like I have to spend the day off loafing around the house.  It actually sucks, I wanted to hang out this weekend.  Anyone else have this problem?

We have the day off; even if we didn't, I'm glad Dr King has a day in his honor.

I am very happy that Monday is Dr. King's Holiday. In the role I have at work I get to chose a word of the day to help us be inspired or focus us as a team.. and I chose "Overcome" for our word of the day. I think it fit well.

It is rather sad that many Americans view the major contribution that MLK made to humanity is a three day weekend.
Much has been lost over time.

i dont work outside the home, so its not that big an issue to me...

but the imp had off  today (friday) AND monday and he's already driving me insane....

Nope, got to work. And lucky me; the youngin is in school too...they don't get many of the Federal Holiday's off .
