I have never been to a BDSM club and would like to go - does anyone know where to go in Philadelphia area? Also, is it OK to go alone?

There are no dedicated BDSM clubs in Philadelphia right now. There is one swinger's club that has a fetish night from time to time.

Bike Stop - gay men's bar... but lots of fun.... they can hook you up... is it still open, though? hmmmm It used to be where all the gay clubs met, and it's a small world, and a small community.

Figures the closest town I'd think there would be a bdsm club there wouldn't be.

Washington DC is not all that far away for a weekend. Check out the Crucible Club. www.the-crucible.com It's large, active, clean, and the staff is very friendly and open to watching out for singles and newbies. They have special nights for newbies to the scene or those that just want to check the place out first. There are classes and exploritoriums for trying new stuff too. And.. they have nights just for those that play on the edgier side also.

Going single is not a problem, there are other singles who play, and couples who play with others also if you are wanting to play. But, as i said before, the staff and regulars, keep an eye out for singles so they feel comfortable.

The Pleasure Garden isn't a BDSM club. It's more of a swingers' club. They have a prominent website:

Laughs, that reminds of the time I posted this and someone chastised me for "outing" them. How can I "out" them if they have a blaring website?
