i know this may not be specifically related to this forum but i don't really want to have to keep going to see my dom looking like this either...

i have REALLY bad windburn on one half of my face and haven't really been able to find anything that will help clear it up. right now i'm taking advil (i can't take asprin or i'm not supposed to anyway) and literally mixing cortaid, antibiotic cream, vaseline, tea tree oil, and nivea cream together. it seems to be working  but it's messy and greasy and gross and there's got to be a better way.

or do i just wait it out and it'll heal on its own?

aloe vera to heal it and rose hip oil to increase the moisture and support the new skin ... if you just did it and it still feels hot  then cooling the area  may also  help a little ....  not with water which will draw mositure out of the skin ....  but with  say a frozen bag of peas wraped in a tea towel or similar

It is a burn  and  the  skin is damaged just like it would be if sun burned .. I personaly wouldnt use vasaline  as  its not  really great for your skin in general .. tea tree oil is  an anticeptic and antibacterial   but is very drying and burned skin is very easily dried out.. so unless you  need the extra anticeptic properties I would sugest you probably dont need it

In australia we have a product  called pawpaw ointment .... it is amazing on windburned lips ... scratches and  sun burn ... so if you can get it easily I would highly recommend it .... makes the best lip gloss/ moisturisor  and its cheap

I've had this before. It has to heal, just like a sunburn. A little moistureizer (no perfumes, no anti-agng stuff) will feel better. Should be better each mornng.

btw, Clinique makes a gel based moisturizer for prevention of this kind of thing, for skiers, etc. kind of pricy, but lasts forever!
