I was thinking this over as i wrote my profile. Am i really considered a switch. Lol Heres why i ask. I have found that if i am involved with a man I am usualy submissive. I want to please him. I want to be the good little pet that will do any little thing to bring a smile from him. I also want to be used by him To have his full attention in every way.

Then when the curiosity of a girl turned to i know that i am a bi sexual there came a new thrill. I want her to myself. I want to be the one in control over who moans and why. I am the one that chooses when we see each other, what we do... who touches who first. -purrs- I  know that in bed with them I am the one who chooses just what gets done.

So because of this i have thought of myself as a switch. I love my submissive side. It burns inside of me always. Yet i get the craving to get a girl on her knees and do my bidding. I'm never domminant over a male. Infact if a male is more submissive i am most likely bored and just move on.

So the question stands. Am i a switch because i love both sides or simply something else?

I'm not really a fan of the word switch, either, mostly because even when i'm topping our third, i'm still doing so with His permission. if i play with someone when we go out, and i'm topping, i'm still doing so because my Sir said it was OK to.  i'm not a light fixture.....

It is interesting that Submissive women(in a relationship with a Male Dom) will Domme(switch) with another woman, even Domme a T/S/T/V/C/d before a straight Male.
If at all.

What is my point?
That straight Male sub/switch odds of finding a Domme or switch female is slim (particularly for a monogamous relationship) .

Well in my case if the man isn't dominant i get bored and usually leave the relationship. I cannot stay interested for long. ^.^

If its my long term/romantic type relationship then I am the submissive partner to a Dominant male, but if its more casual, or simply service oriented relationship, It usually does not matter if its a boy or a girl that I Dominate. I never feel submissive towards women though, and in fact have only felt either submissive or Dominant toward a Very very select few individuals (male or female) over the years. I've had more ongoing relationships with male submissives than female though..girls seem to be a lot more work. lol

edited for spelling

I have similar concerns...I'm a sub to my dominant husband. But I'm a complete dom over my bonded male partner, he's completely submissive to me (when he's able to visit). And when I had a girlfriend, I took control but really didn't dominate. So the term switch bothers me too. I just have my two men to please me!

THANK YOU PleasureToi!!!!  And, AMEN!!!

I have had that problem, (not really a problem for me), for years now.  I've taken to refering to myself as a 'gender-based switch'!  Now, don't get me wrong, I can be dominant with a man, but he can not be a sniveling weakling.  Weak men make me sick!!  Someone who can be submissive, but not spineless can hold my attention....but he will never have me the way a strong, alpha male can.  Also, I am very selective about the men who can dominate me.  I have a very strong personality and am a strong woman.  Most men find me intimidating, and that tends to be the dynamic between us.  So, it takes a very secure, strong man to be able to dominate me.  I don't find them often.  He also can not be ultra controlling in his everyday personality.  If a man has to constantly fight to assert his dominance...he isn't that dominant, as far as I'm concerned, anyway.
Women, on the other hand, are the epitome of softness.  The coy, demur smile.  The wide, uncertain eyes.  The gasps of pleasure, with a hint of fear....*shifting in my seat*....Where was I?  Oh yeah, ....women.!  With them, I am ALWAYS the Dominant.  I could/would never submit to a woman.  Not while I could still draw breath.
Now, I know it is extremely unpopular to say, but I had to come to terms with the fact that I am a cheuvenist.   I believe that the basic nature of a man is to be strong, a protector and competitive.  I believe the basic nature of a woman is to be wise, a care-give and compassionate.  I make no apologies for my views.
I also recognize there are exceptions to this, within both genders.  Some men are weak, soft, and submissive.  Strong, alpha men sometimes possess inherantly female qualities, such as great empathy and compassion...nothing wrong with that.   Some women are strong, dominant and agressive.  Plenty of sweet, gentle women have the capacity to be competitive, hard nose bitches when there is call for it.  Nothing wrong with that, either.
However, by and large, I stand by my original believe regarding gender-roles.  That is also, my only reason for labelling myself a 'switch'.

I am glad I read all of the responses.  For me it's only one man and one man alone I am submissive to.  For that one reason and that alone I placed myself as the labeled Switch.

In my relationship, while I'd like a male submissive, my Sir does not enjoy me being with another man, therefore I do not seek them. It wouldn't make sense to be with someone my Sir didn't approve of, considering first and foremost is his happiness in our relationship.  Reversely, this doesn't mean that I must date the elusive HBB; if I were to find a girl who was only into girls, my Sir would OK it because he does not feel threatened by women. I know it may seem silly, but it's what he's comfortable with.
