Remnants of the Past

Holding on to these reminders
of the days and moments shared
can lead to deeper heartache
as she tries to close the door
on what was but is no more.

How can she heal a heart
that is bruised but not quite broken
if these remants remain
as the last shreds of what was shared.

An attempt to lead her back
into a life she no longer wishes to share
where trust and honesty
are but an illusion.

Moving forward is the answer
to put the past behind
to anticipate new desires
and the hope of a brand new day.

Holding on to the past
can only bring more unhappiness
for the ones who once shared
such erotic joy and pain.

Thank you, but I'm doing fine really. It's just frustrating trying to get my belongings back! He's being "stubborn".

I gave it up today. It's not worth the fight, and not worth the misery I was putting myself through. If he wants my stuff, he can have it. I'm done with it. I will really hate having to go through the expense of changing my lock on my front door, but he refuses to work with me, and I'm tired of playing the bad guy.

I said the same thing today, I told him you want my things..keep them..i hope when you are with someone else and use my things i hope all you see is me.

Good for you! I just don't understand the reasoning behind their thinking. I think it is their way of keeping us tied to them, even though they aren't interested anymore. At least we are free to move on -- they'll still have ties to the past. I hope the next time he "entertains" in his playroom and he plays the music I made for our sessions, that he's haunted by my memory!

I told him I was changing my locks. I just wonder how many times I should have had to ask for my housekey back.

Hi Subbella,

Yes, Good for both of us. I wish I knew what their reasoning was. You think you know someone so well and then this..I hope we both can stay strong and just move on..In time we both will be happy again..They both will miss us for sure one day...I hope he wants me back just so i can tell him Go to Hell!

Life has been so much better since I let go of that whole mess. I haven't even thought about him! Tomorrow I am changing my locks so the key he has won't work anymore anyway, so even if he thinks he won the battle of the wills, he's still lost, 'cause if he should try to get into my apartment, he won't be able to! (grins)

Had dinner tonight with someone new. We had a wonderful time.

Good for you, I am glad you had a nice dinner date, I hope everything works out as you want it to. He emailed me today..."I want you to be mine" I told him...Remember this you let me go..enjoy your life.......This made me feel better..I told him enjoy my leather toys on your new one and I hope you think of me when you do..

So life is getting better today
