I've been looking around online for an S&M community here in Santa Fe, but I don't seem to be able to turn up much. There's only a few profiles on collarme and alt, so I hoped to find a support gorup of some kind, but online searches have so far been fruitless. Any tips?

I would say go to a chatroom on alt in your area .. Usualy there are plenty of real time folks who are geniune and will help you *S* Best of luck to you .

Try a Google search. Just enter BDSM Santa Fe, or New Mexico, and see what comes up. You might also ask around at some of your local BDSM shops, if you have any in Santa Fe. Many have community bulliten boards. You can also check your local news and arts weekly paper, and see if there are any ads in the classified there for community. Finally, I don't know if there is a GLBT community center in that town, but they would probably know of any pansexual BDSM groups in your area. I know these searches can be really difficult, (I'm in Arkansas, and the number of groups here is pretty low, and closeted) but trust me, there are folks out there. Sometimes it just takes a compass, night vision goggles and a shovel to dig them out of where they are hiding. Good luck on your search!

Look at the major groups and look for local groups on their lists.

Society of Janus in San Francisco (there I go name dropping again!) is the second oldest bdsm group and keeps up a list of groups here:

Check with APEX, the big Arizona group and see what they know of New Mexico groups

Looks like the pickings are pretty small so the groups are probably fractured and filled with politics and such.
