YourhandMyAss -> Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 12:07:50 AM)

I believe it's overture, and I've looked all over google, and I've downloaded several options and it was all the dark horrible omines pipe organ music and non of christine's beautiful singing, and I want to find the version where she's singing the song she picked to win the audition with.

If any one can help me I'd be greatful.

The soundtrack from the movie had an excellent rendition of the song (I believe its think of me you are referring to?) Either way, that disc is worth the price :P

Asher, I believe you are correct..
YHMA, do you want the rendition from the movie or the broadway play?

Asherdelampyr -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 12:35:10 AM)

I prefer the movie version... I just love the way they did every song for the movie

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 12:51:26 AM)

asher no it wasn't think of me. She sings about her heart knowing him or he's just a memory or something.

I looked up lyrics for think of me and it had nothing to do with her heart knowing him.

I watched the 2004 version, and in the begining the actor in present day goes into a book store and in the back  her friend finds this half a piece of music , and suggests she do it for the audition and the girl starts singing it and blood starts pouring out of the page and all over her hand, then when she sings it at her play audition the chandaler comes crashing down and knocks her out cold, either it was a chandaler or a prop sack.,  We also find out it was the unfinished piece the phantom shows christine the first time she's in his lair.  He plays those awful pipe organ notes and she starts to sing and she begs him to finish it and he says she'll be his inspiration.

It's got all of the major and minor songs that were in the 2004 show.

Hope it helps!

Fargle I already said it wasn't think of me. Think of me had nothing to do with her singing her heart knew him, and he is a memory or sch stuff. The song also didn't have the phantom person singing in it, just her. Think of me has both of them singing.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 10:20:30 PM)

Not that it matters I guess, but ,A bunch of information on there is wrong. Carlotta wasn't unable to sing because the dude dr'd her water, she was unable to sing due to finding a dead body skinned and hung in her amoir and she screamed and screamed so much that her voice was to hoarse to sing.

Thank you for the link tho. I am beginning to think I am going to have to re'rent the movie and manually record the song I want myself lol.

Im sorry, I cant find anything... I know the version you are talking about, its the version they just dont show anymore... wish I could help

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 10:28:44 PM)

asher I may just have to rerent the show and somehow record her singing from the movie, cause none of the lists show the song, and i rented the 2004 versionwithEmmy Rossum  of the show. if it made any diffrence.

Asherdelampyr -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 10:37:25 PM)

It might... have you checked IMDB?

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 11:13:03 PM)

No, actually didn't check that one. my theroy is maybe it wasn't one of the major sound tracks on the movie, maybe it was just a pretty side song? so it won't be found as a soundtrack search?

Kalista07 -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 11:18:06 PM)

YHMA,
i'm not sure what song You are referring to, but if You want to sing it to me i could probably name it for You?

Or, You could try the Andrew Loyd Weber Phantom of the Opera CD.....i used to have that...LOVED it!!!

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 11:22:15 PM)

Kalista have you seen the movie? does my description in an earlier post about the events that lead into the movie sound familar?

I've looked up sound track to phantom of the opera, it's not any of those songs, is the cd diffrent than the soundtrack?

Kalista07 -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/22/2008 11:28:13 PM)

Sadly i've never seen either the movie or the show...*sigh*

However, as i remember it there was a LOT of stuff on the ALW CD that wasn't on the sound track from what other's told me...
btw, You have CM mail.

vampiresscammy -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/23/2008 6:41:12 AM)

YHMA - If I may, I believe the song your referring to, its not actually a song, just the beginning, and its from Phantom of the Opera with Robert Englund, its from 1989

does this sound familiar "your all I see but my shadow, my heart is overflowing"

if thats it, here it is http://www.amazon.com/Phantom-Opera-Music-Motion-Picture/dp/B000003BGY/ref=imdbpov_cd_2

listen to track titled "Don Juan Triumphant/Travel Through Time"

add in, foudn this, if this is it, here is the clip fromthe movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux5FCRT59yU

hope that helped, it sone of my favorites too and VERY hard to find

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Looking for a specific Phantom of the opera sound track song (1/23/2008 10:31:29 AM)

YES YES YES. That is it Vampiresscammy. I did mean to correct myself I noticed yesterday that it wasn't the 2004 I saw but the 1989 version. That could probably be why everyone, me included was stumped about it.
