OHHHHHHH, I hate that!! OR, they call and say they just sent a fax or email. Then ask "did you get it?" To which I politely reply, "I do not know yet, I am on the phone." And THEN, they ask "well, when you get time would you check and then call me back and let me know you got it?"

I so badly want to call these people and say "hey I just called you, did you get the call?" OR, fax/email them and ask the same thing![:D]

Their parents should have never been allowed to breed.

I think with my humour I would answer something like........"in the bathroom, on the toilet.......where are you?"

Not that I haven't answered the phone there but I refrain from telling them so.

My point was to Emperor, not to you.  His post made it appear that he thought you made a mistake on this thread.  His post made it appear that he missed the other thread on canning/caning.
