Status: offline 		It's all in how it's done. My canes are my favorite impact tool, and I hate to hear people say they are a hard limit. Usually that means they have only been exposed to someone who  knows how to use them one way...pick up stick, and hit other person hard!

  You can get as many different sensations out of canes as you can out of floggers, maybe more so.  I have done everything from strokes that felt like a form of physical therapy, up to some pretty heavy hits, and on to blood (with a select few).

When I do an erotic caning, the warm up is more sensual and the strokes and type of cane is selected to add to that feeling. I usually include other things as well, bondage, insertables, ect. The strokes are lghter and more interestingly placed. I once did a very extended cock caning that was hot as hell. I love this form of play!

He was a good salesman, suggested some ways I might use the Lucite cane that he picked out. Demo'd on his arm, then mine. I gave it a try.

Status: offline 		I learned to do erotic caning when I live in NYC. As with many of the SM and physical things, I saw someone do this at at a dungeon or at an TES workshop and then approached them and asked if they would teach me. It didn't take long to learn.

I once did a workshop on spanking and caning for the local group. Why I did it, I can't honestly say, because by and large I dislike doing workshops/lectures on the physical aspects of BDSM. Guess I was filling full of my ability or something. But hey, it was well attended and liked so I didn't do too badly. These are some of the books on the subject that I referenced in that workshop but I really prefer the hand-on, apprenticeship model myself.
