Hi matey   Hope you are well ?  Not sure if this helps but when I was a schoolgirl back in the day if I didnt want to go to school I would drink a pint or orange juice with milk mixed in it and occasionaly beans   drastic I know but my mum was a right cow and wouldnt let us have time off without evidence.  Anyway drinking that and then thinking about it made me nauseas and sick.  I imagine having a gag in place would be a mind fuck but I would be very careful!!

As  fun as the gag idea sounds, it also sounds like there'd be too much risk of choking on vomit.  Now THAT'S something I'd like to stay away from!

Well, here's a thought but it's appeal will depend on how you feel about alcohol.
Nothing makes a person more nauseaus than a good ol'e hangover.  You could force him to get quite inebriated the night before.  Heck, that can even lead to nausea, in and of itself.   And, the next morning when he is going "uuuugggggggghhhhhhhhhh", do things like place gross looking food (such as very undercooked soft boiled eggs) in front of him.  *chuckle*  Or, dog food.......I think you're probably getting the idea here.
I'm just being really wicked.
Personally, I like to gag them with my strap-on until they are ready to puke.  I have even induced it myself by shoving my fingers down their throats.  But, I think you're after a more "consistent" feeling of nausea.
Let us know how it goes or if you find something that works well.  I would like to try this as well.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, soooooooooooooo much fun could be had with this one...LOL

Yeah, I'm much more interested in the nausea than the vomiting, I'd actually prefer to avoid that if possible.

From http://www.poison.org/prepared/ipecac.asp :

  • There are times when ipecac is unsafe.  It shouldn't be given to someone who swallowed chemicals that cause burns on contact or medicines that can cause seizures very quickly.  It can be dangerous to people with some types of medical problems.  When such poisoning victims got ipecac anyway, they developed serious complications or even died.
  • More and more people with eating disorders were using ipecac to make themselves throw up.  Regular use of ipecac syrup is dangerous; for example, chronic users have died from heart problems.
  • Sometimes people vomiting after ipecac could not keep down other drugs they needed to treat their poisonings

    From http://www.medicinenet.com/ipecac-oral/article.htm:

In addition to the expected effect of vomiting, this medication may cause drowsiness, diarrhea, and stomach ache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    From http://www.drugs.com/cons/ipecac.html

The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of ipecac. Make sure you tell your doctor or the person you talk to at the poison control center or the emergency room if you have any other medical problems, especially:
    • Heart disease—There is an increased risk of heart problems, such as unusually fast heartbeat, if the ipecac is not vomited

    Also from same site:

    Side Effects of This Medicine
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although side effects usually do not occur with recommended doses of ipecac, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:
Symptoms of overdose (may also occur if ipecac is taken regularly)
Diarrhea; fast or irregular heartbeat; nausea or vomiting (continuing more than 30 minutes); stomach cramps or pain; troubled breathing; unusual tiredness or weakness; weakness, aching, and stiffness of muscles, especially those of the neck, arms, and legs
Other side effects not listed above may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your doctor.

This is gross (warning), but it's a YouTube of someone who drank it.  Those who want to toy with Epicac ought to watch it.  The guy only drank a few ounces and seriously got uncontrollably sick (I seriously advise not watching the last 20 seconds or so though.  You won't need epicac to get sick if you do - I don't get sick easily and I had to turn it off).  If you plan on playing with Epicac, then I recommend watching the first half of this video:

Stomach ache...wow....NEVER would have thought that from a medication that's supposed to induce vomiting. *snorts.*

The thing about Epicac is that there is really no sort of counter medication to take with it. And technically, medical professionals don't use the syrup anymore for poison control. Yes, I know this, I work in an Emergency room. We use activated charcoal and never induce vomiting.
Epicac is something that requires alot of knowledge about dosage by weight calculations, and the syrup is designed to cause vomiting not nausea.

My advice? Don't use the Epicac.
What can or should you use? That, unfortunately, I can't help you with, and I dearly wish I could give you more information. The Gelatin Capsules though definately seem like a good idea, so start there.

Has anyone here engaged in nausea/vomit play?  I'm interested in the idea of inducing nausea in a submissive, but I want to make sure I go about it safely.   Has anyone played with syrup of ipecac?  My understanding is that it's generally safe to use, but I haven't seen anything specifically pertaining to BDSM.  Also, I know ipecac is intended to induce vomiting, is there anything out there that will induce nausea for an hour or two without bringing about vomiting?  Obviously nothing that's going to do any kind of damage, just temporary discomfort.

I have experienced this...syrup of ipecac was used on me, as well as the persons fingers placed down my throat.  An enema was also used to induce vomiting. I am not familiar with what may cause just nausea, without vomiting. I was miserable but safe....LOL.

I now have a new hard limit.

That said, I find the things that make me nauseous are a combination of bright lights, loud noise, empty stomach and jerky automobile movements on a long car trip. Or heat, sugar (cotton candy/soda) and roller coasters.

    Hang over stomach = nausea.

Might not take anything unusual to get a nausea reaction. Just ask what makes then queasy.

The gut is connected, from the mouth to the anus. A stimulation at one end can produce sensation throughout.

Anything anal, in the wrong position, can induce nausea in me. Nerve stimulation is the only explanation I've been able to find.

The movie Cloverfield has people in the theatre very nauseated..  Also, reading some of these threads helps.
As for ipecac.  It's standard stuff in most medicine cabinets when you first have um's.  I took it once to see what it was like in case I ever had to give it to my um.  I can't even smell the stuff now with feeling nauseated.
I have never had to administer ipecac to my um's but... uh.. Sorry Phil, it was never because of the steak...

the gelatin capsules idea confuses me, since they're generally suggested to REDUCE nausea in patients taking other medications....

That being said, nausea is a human warning sign of something being wrong. High levels of intoxicants/poison; pressure on the brain; issues with the regulatory system for stomach acid; nerve damage; etc. There are going to be very few ways to create nausea without vomiting, and fewer that are safe.

Do you attempt to get them with a hangover, and possibly overdo it, causing alcohol poisoning?

    It's a pickle.

But this does make me glad that I specify during negotiations that when I feel like crap, all "bets" as far as expected behavior/play are off... though I'm willing to concede that if I did it to myself (drinking too much or eating food I KNOW will make me sick), I don't deserve a whole lot of sympathy.

  • Seriously?  Did you see how MUCH that guy was projectile vomiting from just a few sips?  Not sure how you could reduce the effect to mere nausea.

In any case, I agree with burningdesires' comment that nausea is an indicator that something is wrong, internally.  I'm not a fan of messing with the digestive tract.  I just don't think it's a good practice.

If you want to make her nauseous, show her the video.

I'm not a health professional, but everything I've read seems to indicate that ipecac is considered very safe, that the only real risk is in people who have heart conditions, and that the reason doctors no longer recommend it is that it's no longer considered an effective method of poison control.  That said, it sounds like your experiences have been different.  Anyone else have firsthand experience? Any health professionals?

ipecac is sometimes used in emergency rooms.

yes, i've had it used in that context.  i'd deliberately overdosed on antidepressants.  i was force-fed 2 ounces of syrup of ipecac to empty my stomach.  (it tastes like black licorice, if you've ever wondered.)  this was followed by several ounces of activated charcoal mixed with water.  yum, tasty!  (NOT)

it caused near-projecticle vomiting for nearly an hour, and i tore a muscle in my back from the force of the heaving.  so, yeah, its not something i'd really recommend, no.

kitten, who survived the suicide attempt, and its going to be 17 years ago this coming may 25th.

Take them to see Cloverfield. I'm told a lot of people are walking out with motion sickness.

If you really want to make someone feel nauseated, have them drink a small class of one or each of the following:

    Vineger

    Cranola Oil

    2 Tbls of White Crisco

Infact, blend these substances into a Milk Shake. Blend in a small pancake, syrup, sausage, half a grape fruit and four table spoons of salt. Be creative and blend in anything else that tickles the fancy.

I think you're good to go.

How have things been so far? Try anything? Has any of it worked?
